Chapter 6
- Chapter 6
- Seven days just passed like a blur of pain and silence for Kat alone in the playroom. Her body ached from the punishment and the bruises on her skin. Luci sure had taken his wrath on her. She had by now grown accustomed to the cold and empty room alongside the ever present scent of leather and sweat that floated staly in the air like a cloud. Every creak of the door had her bracing up for another session of agony.
- The door opened and Luci walked right into the room. Seeing him again, she flinched back as she braced herself for the whipping that she knew would come. But nothing came. Instead he stepped into the room with his usual commanding presence as his piercing eyes locked in on her.
- She instinctively flinched as he approached as she expected from him the familiar sting of the whip. But instead, he walked up to her with slow and deliberate steps and stopped just in front of her. He squatted toward her and she reflexly shifted backward, but to her horror, he started taking off the shackles from her wrists, deliberately and carefully.
- With wrinkled forehead, she watched him, waiting to see what next he has up his sleeves.
- "Stand," he ordered coldly. His voice lacked emotion.
- Kat struggled to her feet as her knees wobbled being weak, thanks to the endless days of confinement. Her wrists ached where the cuffs had bitten into her flesh but she still managed to obey without a word. She was too exhausted to resist.
- Luci turned to the maid who entered the room right after him.
- "Clean her up. Feed her. Make sure she’s presentable." He ordered.
- The maid nodded her head as she quickly moved to Kat’s side. Kat looked up at Luci and her brows furrowed in confusion. She hadn’t expected this attitude from him—this man was not known for it. Yet here he was ordering her release.
- She was beyond piqued.
- As the maid reached for her restraints from her ankles, Kat looked over at Luci and discovered that he was giving her a cold and icy glare. His actions completely contrasted his looks but she didn't want to think too much about that. Good thing was that she was finally getting a bath and leaving the hellhole that she was in.
- After the servant was done, Lucifer gave Kat one last cold stare before he turned on his heels and walked out. Kat’s heart pounded as she watched him leave, she felt both uneasy at his recent attitude and at the same time she felt relieved that he was leaving. He was leaving without whipping her again and that was a good thing.

- Luci’s stepped out of the playroom lost in thoughts. He was wondering what he was doing, he had gone in there to punish her and was surprised that he was leaving without doing that. His anger bubbled within him and his face was a mask of stone.
- The storm that raged in his mind was anything but calm. He was still mad at himself. How had he been manipulated by that little devil? He asked himself.
- He had gone to whip her again.Yet, somehow, he couldn’t bring himself to do it. Instead, he had uncuffed her.
- Why?
- The question echoed in his thoughts as it grew even louder with every step.
- He neared the end of the hallway and Anthonio approached him. Anthonio's expression was hesitant, as though he was choosing carefully whether or not to speak.
- "Sir," Anthonio began in a measured tone, "Do you think it’s safe to release her so soon?" His capo asked him.
- Luci stopped in his tracks and his eyes narrowed dangerously.
- "Are you questioning my decisions, Anthonio?" He asked his capo.
- Anthonio held his hands up defensively as he took a step back.
- "Not at all, sir. But you did say she was to be punished for the two months she ran away. I’m only—" he was saying.
- "I don’t need reminders," Luci snapped at him in a low and deadly voice. "I make the decisions here. No one questions them. Is that understood?" He asked.
- Anthonio nodded quickly and instinctively stepped back.
- "Understood, sir." He said immediately.
- "Good." Luci adjusted his cuffs as his expression remained unreadable. "Now get lost." He commanded as he dragged at the tie on his neck and losened the grip.
- "Yes, sir," Anthonio replied and retreated without another word.
- As soon as Anthonio had disappeared down the hall, Luci pressed a hand to his temple to soothe the ache he was feeling. His head throbbed with the internal conflict he was having. It was getting frustrating.
- Why didn’t he do it? The question returned and it gnawed at him. He clenched his jaw as he reined in his anger.
- Natalia was already waiting for him when he entered his bedroom. She was lounged on his bed and delicate fingers traced lazy patterns on the silk sheets as she stared at him. At the sight of him, her perky lips curved into a knowing smile.
- "You look like you’ve had a rough day," she teased as she sat up to meet his eyes.
- Luci didn’t reply. He just strode across the room to her in deliberate movements. Natalia’s smile widened as he pulled her into his arms. His tight grip on her was almost bruising. She didn’t resist—she had already grown accustomed to the intensity of his...... needs.
- The sex was rough, just the way Luci enjoyed it. That was his kink. And now added to that, he it was further fueled by Luci’s frustration and inner turmoil. Natalia responded in kind, she was already familiar with his desires as she allowed herself to match his energy.
- Even while Luci fvcked Natalia, his mind was elsewhere as his thoughts returned to the one person who refused to leave his head.
- When it was over, Luci rolled over to the side of the bed as his chest rose and fell while he tried to catch his breath. Natalia reached out to touch him but he pushed her hand away.
- "Leave," he ordered in a curt and detached voice.
- Natalia frowned, but she knew better than to argue. She dressed quickly and left the room and he was left alone with his thoughts.
- *.*
- Kat was brought to the grand room in the mansion. She was dressed in a silky flowy dress and her hair was made in a big braid behind her. She stood in the center of the room with her eyes fixed on the floor as Luci entered. The moment he entered, she perceived his unique scent in the whole room.
- He stopped at just a few feet away from her with his hands clasped behind his back.
- "Do you know why you’re here?" he asked her in a casual and yet dangerous tone.
- Kat didn’t answer immediately, her throat was too dry.
- "No." She finally whispered.
- Luci chuckled at her naivety.
- "You ran, Kat. For two months, you thought you could escape me. Now, you’re going to pay for it. But I’m feeling... generous." He said as he regarded her.
- She looked up at him as confusion crossed her eyes.
- "What do you mean?" She swallowed, too scared to meet his eyes. Anytime she looks at him, she's reminded of the torture room.
- He stepped closer and his dark eyes locked onto hers.
- "I’m offering you a deal. A contract, if you will." He let out.
- Kat’s heart pounded in her chest.
- "What kind of contract?" Shs found herself asking him. "If it's the previous one you__"
- "Oh no, it's not" Luci’s lips curled into a wicked grin.
- She looked at the floor and nervously touched her bruised left wrist. Then she nodded at him, urging him to go on.
- "You give me a son. Get pregnant and give me an heir and you’ll be free." He proposed, pushing a document on the table toward her and Kat looked at him with dread in her eyes.
- What was he on about? She wondered, her eyes glued to the document.
- "I'd... you'd set me free?" A flicker of tears trailed down her cheeks before she could stop it.
- He kept a straight face and nodded at her. Then her thoughts started running wild immediately. She was desperate. If he said he would let her go, them it just meant she was supposed to just remain here for at least nine more months and she would be free.
- That was an offer she was willing to take.
- Kat’s knees wobbled and her voice trembled as she tried to see reason in what he said.
- "Promise me... promise me I’ll be set free." She said to him with desperate eyes.
- "Ah, promises," Luci mused in a mocking tone. "You want my word?" He asked her.
- "Please," she sobbed as her voice cracked. "Give me your word that I’ll be set free after this contract." She asked of him.
- For a moment, Luci was silent and his expression was unreadable. Then, a sinister grin spread across his lips
- as he placed a pen on the document, sitting on the table.
