Chapter 5 First Time

  • The good impression Isaac had previously left on her dissipated instantly.
  • She had planned to return his clothes in person to thank him and ask about the incident six years ago.
  • However, she lost interest in doing so now.
  • Since he was Adeline's fiancée, Patricia figured there was no need for them to meet in the future.
  • “This is his clothes. Please help me return it to him,” Patricia said coldly, then turned and walked away.
  • When she returned to the table by the window, Sylvie was nowhere to be found.
  • Patricia immediately asked the waiter, “Excuse me. Where did the little girl who came in with me go?”
  • The waiter remembered Sylvie, as she was highly memorable, who resembled a doll with her large, charming eyes.
  • “Don't worry, miss. She went to wash her hands.”
  • Patricia was relieved upon hearing that. Washing hands before a meal was something she taught Sylvie.
  • It's good that she remembers this.
  • The wash basins at the entrance of the restroom were shared.
  • Sylvie washed her hands with soap while singing, “Scrub, scrub, scrub. Rub a dub dub.”
  • At that moment, a towering figure emerged from the men's restroom and stood next to her to wash his hands.
  • Sylvie glanced at his reflection in the mirror, and her eyes instantaneously widened. Isn't this the handsome man we met at the airport? He looks like Scott and Stellan and is so gorgeous!
  • Staring intently at him, she asked, “Mr. Handsome, do you have children?”
  • In fact, Sylvie wanted to ask him if he was her father. However, she didn't dare to do so, fearing she would get scolded if she had the wrong person. We don't have a daddy. If he has children, but they are missing, perhaps he might be our daddy.
  • Hearing the sweet, childish voice, Isaac turned to look at her. He found the little girl adorable, and the sight of her caused his heart to soften inexplicably.
  • “No.” His voice wasn't as indifferent as usual, but he continued wearing a poker face.
  • Sylvie sighed. “I also don't have a daddy.”
  • Taking in her demeanor, Isaac curled his lips.
  • He wasn't adept at coaxing children, so he didn't know how to comfort her.
  • An idea suddenly popped into Sylvie's mind. Why don't I introduce this Mr. Handsome to Tricia? Tricia will surely like him!
  • While reaching for a paper towel, she giggled, finding herself clever.
  • “Mr. Handsome, can we be friends? Give me your contact information. I'll treat you to a meal later.”
  • She learned those pickup lines from the television. That was how the boys usually asked out the girls on a date. Usually, the boys treat the girls, but since Tricia has three kids, she should be the one to fork out the money.
  • Isaac was ready to leave, but hearing Sylvie's words, he narrowed his eyes as a faint, amused smile spread across his face. This little girl is quite interesting. She even knows how to treat others to a meal.
  • He handed her a gold-embossed business card. “This is my contact details.”
  • For some reason, he felt a sense of familiarity when he looked at Sylvie and was inexplicably drawn to her.
  • “Thank you, Mr. Handsome.”
  • Sylvie received the business card and carefully placed it into her crossbody bag.
  • When Isaac returned to the private room, Adeline immediately got to her feet.
  • She was taken aback, watching him step into the room. Oh my! This is my first time seeing a man as handsome as him.
  • “Hello, President Arnold!”
  • Looking at the woman before him, Isaac merely thought her chin was pointed to the extent of being frightening. He didn't feel anything for her. Is she the woman from six years ago?
  • Adeline seemed a little nervous. After all, Isaac was the head of the top prominent family in Appleby. If I can marry him, I'll be able to do as I please in Appleby in the future. What choice do I have? I'm just too pretty that I managed to captivate a man as fine as him.
  • She was overjoyed.
  • “Hello, Ms. Aniston. I would like to ask if you have experienced any strange things. Like dreams, for instance?” Isaac inquired.
  • Adeline didn't quite understand his question. However, since Isaac was so handsome and was also in charge of Arnold Corporation, she was determined to seize the opportunity.
  • “I did. When I was little, I dreamed about losing a tooth, and the next day, my tooth really came off. Isn't that strange?”
  • After hearing her response, he probed further with a colder expression, “When was the first time you bedded a man? Were you awake or in a daze? Have you ever received a ring from a man?”
