Chapter 7 Daddy Is An Ugly Guy?

  • "I don't think so," Elvira pulled the corner of her lips and tapped the table, her expression indifferent. "I came here this time just to inform you of this result."
  • Dion panted, looking at his daughter's eyes, which appeared very strange. "Elvira, don't go too far in being a human being," he said slowly.
  • Elvira snorted, "Think what you want. I have things to do, so I'll leave you to it." She checked her wristwatch for the time and turned to leave the study.
  • Coming downstairs, Densie frowned and looked at Gina and Grace with an unhappy face.
  • "Baby, let's go," Elvira wanted to leave, but unexpectedly, Gina spoke up, "Elvira, since you are back and Bryan's marriage is on the line, hurry up and agree to back out."
  • Before Elvira could respond, Gina added in a condescending voice, "If you don't withdraw, Grace can't get engaged to Bryan."
  • Oh no, they are waiting for her here?
  • Elvira didn't care about marrying Bryan, but she couldn't allow Grace to be stuck with him. Even if he's a leftover man from her games, Grace didn't deserve that.
  • Elvira smirked, deciding that the marriage would be withdrawn, but not now. She had wanted to end the marriage for a long time, but her grandfather, for some reason, had refused to agree to it, leaving Elvira in a very passive situation.
  • Bryan was also a womanizer and had many girlfriends in the past few years. Elvira thought of him and staggered, saying, "Now Bryan is not in the mood to get engaged."
  • As she spoke, Elvira looked at Grace with amusement, her pity for the girl evident in her eyes. If being Dion's daughter meant just marrying into these wealthy families, then what's the point of being his daughter?
  • Gina saw the news in the morning, but she was not nervous. "The Lu family can afford to pay."
  • "I hope you can keep smiling, my stepmother." With that, Elvira took Densie's hand and walked confidently out of the room.
  • For six years, she had been away, and no one in this family had ever asked if she was alive or dead.
  • As she took her daughter to the car, Densie closed her tablet, which was rare, and remained silent.
  • Elvira sensed something different and asked, "What did they say to you?"
  • Densie turned her head and said seriously, "Mommy, I'm going to ask you this question only once."
  • "Go ahead." Elvira looked at Densie's earnest face through the rearview mirror and knew what she was going to ask.
  • Densie's brows furrowed and her tone turned tense and angry. "Is Daddy an ugly bastard?"
  • Elvira was stunned, not expecting Densie to ask such a straightforward question.
  • "Um...not at all?" Elvira tried to recall what she had read in pregnancy books before. They mentioned that daughters often resemble their fathers.
  • Elvira glanced at her daughter, who was undeniably beautiful, though she still didn't know who the father was. However, she instinctively believed he couldn't be an ugly monster. Probably?
  • Densie crossed her arms, "I'm so angry! Those two bad women said Dad is a beggar, dirty, and especially ugly. I've never met Dad, so I don't know how to refute it, and it makes me furious!"
  • Elvira adjusted the rearview mirror and said, "What should you do if you're not happy?"
  • "Who made me unhappy? I'll make her unhappy too!" Densie declared. Then, she opened her tablet and started typing away. "Genting Group, right?"
  • "Yes," Elvira replied, rubbing the steering wheel. "Go ahead, daughter."
  • "Okay, Mommy!"
  • Since the Lin family was already having a tough time, Elvira didn't mind adding a little more difficulty for Gina.
  • After talking to Hansel on the phone and learning that the villa hadn't been cleaned up, the mother-daughter duo returned to the hotel.
  • As they arrived on the top floor, they saw the little boy from before surrounded by a group of bodyguards, squatting on the ground and causing a scene.
