Chapter 4 Mom Save Me!

  • "Eat your heart out," the little boy gazed at Elvira, and suddenly, he hummed, "You..."
  • Ding—
  • The elevator doors opened.
  • Elvira turned back to the elevator door, but she couldn't help noticing the young boy's expression. He had the same look in his eyes as Densie, a glow that she knew all too well. That must be the reaction of seeing an impossibly handsome and invincible man.
  • As much as she hated to admit it, Densie had a way of enchanting everyone, but she was too much of a flirt, and Elvira felt helpless about it.
  • "Barton!"
  • Elvira turned around and nearly collided with the stunning man in front of her, who was a gentleman and reached out to gently hold her arm.
  • "Stand still," Colton observed Elvira.
  • "Excuse me, is he your son?" Elvira asked, turning slightly to see the man pick up the little boy and hold him in one arm while pressing the elevator button for the top floor.
  • "How many floors?" The man glanced at her again, a fleeting emotion crossing his eyes.
  • Elvira held Densie's hand and whispered, "Top floor."
  • Those living on the top floor were either wealthy or very rich. Colton nodded and fell silent.
  • Meanwhile, the little boy in his arms blinked his pretty eyes and kept staring at Elvira. Densie glanced at Barton for a moment, then lowered her head and continued swiping her tablet.
  • Ding.
  • The elevator opened, and a group of men in black stood outside. "Young master, little young master."
  • "Next time, if you fail to watch the young master, you'll be punished," Colton said indifferently and put Barton down. The head bodyguard nodded and responded with a "yes."
  • But Barton suddenly broke free from the bodyguard's hand, rushed to Elvira's side, and hugged her thighs, then burst into tears.
  • Densie immediately rushed forward to pull him away, shouting, "Let go of my mommy! Let go!"
  • Barton looked up at Elvira pitifully, "Mom! Help me!"
  • "What on earth! I'm not your mother!" Elvira's head was spinning. Did all kids from rich families behave like this?
  • Colton didn't show much of a reaction this time, he just watched the whole scene with a good-natured expression.
  • "Mom, you're my mom!" Barton's grip tightened, and Elvira felt a strange emotion welling up in her heart.
  • The little boy in front of her was only five or six years old, about the same age as her daughter. If her son had not disappeared, he would be just as adorable and charming now.
  • Elvira and Densie continued to try to persuade Barton to let go, and Colton finally intervened, picking him up in his arms. "Enough, no more fooling around." His tone clearly indicated that he was getting annoyed, and Barton quieted down.
  • Back in the room, Elvira and Densie couldn't help gushing about the incident when Densie's phone suddenly buzzed. She looked at the number on the screen, and Elvira's face darkened.
  • Meanwhile, Barton returned to the room and started to throw a tantrum.
  • "Dad, she's Mom!" Barton was a little unsure at first, but after seeing the red mole behind Elvira's ear, he was certain.
  • Colton responded calmly, "Give Mom some time; after all, she forgot about us."
  • Barton was still upset. "Dad... I've seen Mom's picture on your computer, but these years have passed, and Mom has changed so much that I almost didn't recognize her."
