Chapter 2 Encounter Between Ana And Tony
- The next day...
- Ana continues, with her routine she is heading to university, with her best friend Sofia they are both inseparable, so much so that they do practically everything together.
- "What a bummer, classes start today," says Sofi.
- "Oh Sofi, you don't change, I don't understand how you continue to come to classes, if you hate studying," Ana reprimands her.
- "Because of my parents, who practically force me.
- "You're ungrateful, all the effort your parents make, to give you everything and you pay them back, falling in love with my brother and ignoring his career.
- "Don't scold me, I've had enough of my parents' sermon when they see my grades," Ana frowns in weariness.
- "Let's go to the living room," and he takes her roughly by the hand.
- When you get to the classroom, there is Steven, a young man who is madly in love with Ana, in his own way, since all you do is annoy her, seeking to get her attention.
- "Oh, look at the one we have here with the genius girl.
- "The fool of the class, making an appearance. You don't get tired of annoying," Ana tells him harshly.
- "If only Ana, you'd put that rudeness aside and accept me as a boyfriend, maybe I'll leave you alone someday," everyone in the room whistles.
- "Idiots," Ana yells and glares angrily at Steven.
- A classmate quickly gives them a piece of information, which is considered to be the gossip of the class, named Danielle:
- "Guys, please pay attention, I've got some information for you.
- "Or gossip!" Steven exclaims sarcastically.
- "We have a new literature teacher, since the old man we had before is hospitalized. He kind of kicked it out—everyone sketches, a laugh at the news.
- "What will that new teacher be like?" Ana murmurs to her friend.
- "Just like everyone else, it's very boring, it's a bummer," Sofia says.
- "Sofi, but you have time to retire and search, a trade that I know. To help you thrive in life.
- "I think the same.
- "You have to be honest, with your parents’ friends, so they don't spend so much money in vain.
- "You're right, Ana, even to the point of scolding me.
- "I'm sorry my friend, I just want your well-being.
- "I know," they both look at each other affectionately.
- On the other side of town...
- There is Father Ana and her brother Abel, their father's name is Anderson Rodríguez, he is a hardworking and good man, widowed ten years ago and has only raised his children. Ana is his greatest pride:
- "How proud I am of your sister, she turned out just like your mother, intelligent and beautiful.
- "Yes, my little sister, my dad, is the best, but the beauty, I think you're exaggerating," his brother says wittily.
- "Oh Abel, you're always making fun of your sister.
- "It's true, Dad, she's not a beauty queen either. Although if it were more arranged, it would even deceive anyone's eye.
- "Don't talk like that, about your sister, my boy. If only all young women were as judicious as she was.
- "Better not, self-righteous women always end up alone.
- "You think so, because you're a Mr. Juan, I don't know who you went out to.
- "I don't know, it must be my uncle Benito. Ha, ha, ha, I don't look like you, I'm the black sheep of the family.
- "At least you recognize it. But he's a good man, I dream that one day you will feel head and love will knock on the doors of your heart.
- "Don't be cheesy, Dad, we're in a different era. The one I like right now is Sofi, Ana's little friend.
- "Be very careful, Abel with that girl," his father warns him apprehensively, and he immediately shrugs his shoulders.
- Abel is a handsome, honest, somewhat impulsive young man, but kind-hearted, his only defect is women, he falls in love with all of them without any qualms.
- Going back to college...
- Everyone was waiting for the new teacher, Danielle, no matter how hard she tried, to find out who it was, just didn't succeed:
- "Danielle, you're losing faculties, how did you not find the identity of the new professor?" Ana asks mockingly.
- "Try as I might, I couldn't, the rector is very mysterious, that is the witch.
- "She's very strict, she doesn't swallow me much," Ana says.
- "I'm sure because you're of Latino origin, she's stupid, you were born in the United States and you've shown that you're much smarter than anyone else," Danielle shows Ana her solidarity.
- "Thank you, Danielle.
- The rector first enters alone, sure to announce the new professor.
- "Good day guys, today I want you to welcome the new literature teacher, I hope you behave well with him and respect him, since they are up in arms.
- "As long as he doesn't make us suffer, like old Smith, everything will be fine," Steven says, a comment very much in his satyr style.
- "Young Steven, more respect, or else I'll call your parents back, as you like conflict.
- "Don't worry, Miss Roberts, it's no big deal," he says wryly.
- "All right guys, let's welcome Professor Anthony Hufman, come in, Professor, please."
- Oh my God! He mutters more than once, when he sees the handsome CEO enter the room, among his many occupations he will take the time, to teach them literature, Anthony is a man of letters and very sensitive, so he likes the teaching activities and teaching them. It's a way to feel useful and active.
- Five years ago, Tony lost his wife, Micaela, in a terrible car accident that almost ended his life, but the memory of his beloved wife is still intact in his memory. So, he hasn't considered being with another woman until now, it has put a big lock on his heart. Poor baby.
- The first to drool is Ana, who immediately makes eye contact with Tony and they both smile at each other for a few seconds.
- "Oh my God! The new teacher is great," Sofi muses.
- "Lightning! That way, no one can concentrate," Danielle murmurs spellbound.
- "Hey guys, good morning," Anthony says with a big smile.
- "It's like something out of a commercial," says another student. And the boys look at her, all of them with suspicion. Ha, ha, ha.
- "Very well here I leave you with the professor, any complaint of any of them, just let me know professor" she looks at him smiling before leaving and fixes her hair mischievously, everyone laughs at her gesture.
- Tony takes the floor immediately, to get acquainted with the group:
- "Hello guys, for those who don't know my name, it's Anthony Hufman, I have a degree in letters and as the rector just told you, I'll be your new teacher, I'd like to meet each one individually, so I'll take a roll call, when I mention them they get up and introduce themselves. It is, ok?
- "Yes, Professor," they all reply.
- "Start, please pay attention: Sofía Andueza," Sofi gets up and introduces herself with a lot of nervousness, for which she is deserving of everyone's ridicule.
- "Guys, please, I'm going to ask you first for respect for everyone, we will have moments of relaxation and serious situations, which will be carried out with the matter. So, please be quiet—everyone is quiet in sorrow.
- "I continue, Danielle Bert," and so it goes, one by one, until it's Anne's turn.
- "Ana Rodríguez," he scorns and looks at her. Being stunned and silent for a few minutes. He makes eye contact, with her very amazed.
- "I'm a teacher, my name is Ana Rodríguez, I'm the daughter of Mexican immigrants, I like to read..." She pays little attention to what Ana tells her; she only focuses on the name.
- Mentally mutter:
- "Is it her, or is it a coincidence, that she has the same name?" And he's slightly shocked.
- He finishes the class and for some reason, stops Ana, before leaving motivated by an impulse:
- "Miss! He exclaims and they both stare at each other. Anne's eyes sparkle with their own light, having such a handsome gentleman nearby.
- "Hello professor," Ana reacts nervously.
- "His name is very common.
- "Yes, there must be, like a million Ana Rodriguez in the country.
- "Yes, I suppose," realizing that she's probably not the young woman you're looking for, who was mistakenly inseminated.
- "Goodbye professor and it was a pleasure to meet you," Ana leaves the room smiling.
- Outside, she is stopped by her friend Sofi:
- "What did the professor want?"
- "Nothing, we barely exchanged a few words, by chance.
- "Are you flirting with the professor?"
- "Sofia, please don't be ridiculous.
- "You've never had a boyfriend, you're even a virgin." Sure, it is, because you have very high standards, you like them, as well as the teacher, millionaires and twice your age.
- "Anybody, my brother is better," Ana says wryly.
- "Like Abel, none," Sofia says, with a loud sigh.
- "Be careful, Sofi, and they come out, with a little surprise."
- "Oh yes, my parents scold me more.
- "Let's go get something to eat, I'm starving," they retreat to the cafeteria.
- Tony remains pensive in the room; the name Ana Rodriguez continues to echo in his mind. His best friend and confidant, Justin, immediately pulls him out of the stream of his thoughts, his cell phone rings:
- "Hello, Justin, how are you?"
- "All right let's go to lunch. Are you still in college?"
- "Yes, here I am.
- "How did your first day go?"
- "Good. I have a lot of things to tell you.
- "See you at the usual restaurant." Tell your driver to take you, I'll arrive in 30 minutes, and we'll talk calmly.
- "Okay, I'll see you.
