- Alston fell to the ground, blood gushing from his chest, and my heart was torn. Fear and despair gripped me, and I could only stare at his lifeless face. Just as I decided to get up and escape this inferno, Marcus's hand suddenly grabbed my wrist, his strength strong and cold, irresistible.
- "Where do you want to go, Roberta?" His voice was deep and cold, and his eyes had a dangerous glow.
