Without another word, she pulled out her phone and dialed Hazel's number with urgency.

He didn't flinch. Instead, his tone cooled, his words measured. "Elijah already informed Zachary. Hazel's issue is being dealt with, and it's none of your concern anymore. Let's go—I'm taking you home."
