Chapter 4 Mr Zachary, Have You Forgotten About Your Mysophobia?
- However, very quickly, Zachary halted his fingers, and he didn't lift the veil covering her face. Instead, he merely lowered his gaze at the sleeping girl. If she were to open her eyes, they would be stunning—deep black like a little kitten's, innocent yet mischievous, scratching him like a little kitten's paw when she looked up at him. A blend of purity and allure.
- Zachary glanced at the red mark on her neck. Her skin was delicate; he had only lightly strangled her earlier, but it was already bruising.
- Turning back, Zachary returned to the couch and lay down. His sleep disorder was worsening by the day, definitely not something her silver needle could treat. However, her medical skills were superb; he had indeed rested for a moment in her hand just now. About ten minutes or so. It had been a long time since he had slept, even ten minutes.
- Zachary looked at the delicate figure on the bed, wondering why her hands were so small and soft.
- …
- Early the next morning, Hazel sat in the dining room, eating the bowl of fruits and nuts yogurt brought by the maid, while Matilda, with a smiling face, chatted beside her.
- "Oh, Hazel, I adore you at first sight. If Zachary ever dares to bully you, tell me, and I'll beat him up for you—eat up, don't stop; eat more of the yogurt. We must bear a baby as soon as possible, one after another. I want to hold a little Zachary on one side and a little Hazel on the other." Matilda, with her hair already gray, was spirited and kind. Despite her eccentricity, Hazel liked her very much.
- Just then, the maid's voice rang out, "Good morning, Mr. Zachary."
- Zachary came downstairs. Hazel looked up and found Zachary dressed in a white shirt and black trousers, a classic and elegant combination, that day. The handmade fabric was ironed perfectly, and he stepped off the red carpet with inherent grace and dignity.
- Following him was an elderly wedding nanny, holding a white cloth with a smear of blood. The wedding nanny smiled as she handed the cloth to Matilda, "Congratulations, Old Mrs. Luellen, I wish you have grandchildren soon."
- "Thank you. Winston, reward her!" Matilda rewarded the wedding nanny generously.
- Hazel could tell at a glance that the blood-stained cloth in the wedding nanny's hand was from last night when she and Zachary "engaged in sexual intercourse." Commonly, a virgin would bleed when her cherry was popped. However, the problem was that she and Zachary hadn't done anything at all. So, where did the smear of blood come from?
- Just then, Zachary stood still beside her, one hand in his pocket, and lowered his torso to whisper softly in her ear, "I didn't. I didn't do anything unnecessary, did I? Are you… a virgin?"
- His question was so direct that Hazel, having never dated even once, instantly flushed, her ears burning red.
- Right then, the two appeared rather intimate, with Zachary leaning down to whisper to Hazel, resembling a newlywed couple deeply in love. Matilda immediately covered her eyes with her hand, saying, "I didn't see anything; I won't look. You two continue." Yet, she peeked through her fingers the next second.
- As Zachary gazed at Hazel's blushing ears, he quirked a brow and exuded a mature man's charm. "You haven't celebrated your twentieth birthday yet, so technically, you're 19, and you haven't dated before… right?"
- Hazel was still quite young, only 19 years old. Zachary, on the other hand, was already 27, at the prime of his life, handsome and mature.
- Persistently questioning her, they stood close, and Hazel felt his warm breath on her sensitive skin, making her want to retreat.
- "Do you want some?" She turned around and fed him the fruit and nuts yogurt bowl with the spoon, hoping to shut him up.
- "Ms. Hazel, that's your spoon!" Winston exclaimed. Zachary had a serious case of mysophobia, and Hazel fed him using Zachary using her spoon. Winston quickly went to get mouthwash.
- Hazel's fingers trembled slightly. She had been so desperate to silence him that she unknowingly fed him with her spoon. Uh-oh…
- Meanwhile, Zachary straightened up with furrowed brows, then swallowed the spoonful of yogurt under everyone's watchful gaze.
- Winston was flabbergasted. Mr. Zachary… what happened to you? Have you forgotten about your mysophobia?!
- Matilda nodded in satisfaction. At seventy, she had a keen eye for people. She took a liking to Hazel at first sight, believing that this girl and her grandson were destined for each other.
- "Good, good. You two shared a bowl of fruits and nuts yogurt. Looks like my wish of getting a great-grandchild will be fulfilled soon!" Matilda gushed like a child.
- However, Hazel was in a dilemma, holding the spoon and looking at the half-bowl yogurt, wondering whether to eat it.
- Zachary sat down and looked over, expressing concern, "Why aren't you eating? Finish it before it gets warm."
- Hazel knew Zachary was definitely doing it on purpose. She had just fed him with the spoon she had used, and now he wanted her to continue using the same spoon. That would be tantamount to sharing a kiss!
- "Yeah, Hazel, won't you eat more? Eat up; I'll get you another bowl later," Matilda added.
- At that, Hazel quickly shoved the remaining bowl of yogurt with the shared spoon down her throat. "I'm full, Grandma."
- Watching the adorable and naive look on the girl's face, Zachary wore a faint smile, seemingly in a good mood.
- …
- "Hazel, are you going out later?" Matilda asked after breakfast, and Hazel nodded. "I need to take a trip to my parents'."
- "Yes, you should. Zachary, you go with Hazel. Bring a gift with you. As the new son-in-law, you must show proper respect." Matilda quickly summoned Zachary, who, much to Hazel's dismay, had arrived before she could stop it. "Okay. Let's go together."
- With that, the newlyweds exited the manor and arrived at the lawn. "Get in," Zachary said, courteously opening the passenger door, but Hazel waved her hand in refusal. "Grandma can't see us now. You go ahead with your business. I'll take a cab to my parents' house."
- Zachary quirked a brow in response. "Didn't you say you would act along with me in front of my grandmother? Get in the car. I don't like repeating myself."
- How overbearing! Still, Hazel's heart skipped a beat, for he agreed to her peace agreement. So, she didn't turn him down further and obediently got into the luxury car.
- As the car sped along the road, neither of them spoke, and to avoid awkwardness, Hazel simply faced the window.
- Zachary's reflection was cast onto the spotless car window. His whole attention was on the road, his hands casually resting on the steering wheel, smoothly maneuvering through turns and lane changes.
- Hazel noticed the expensive steel watch, worth millions, on his muscular wrist. Just who is he? Hazel still couldn't figure that out. All she knew was that they had reached a peace agreement, making it easier for her to act with her family.
- At that, she turned her gaze to the fleeting scenery outside.
- …
- Half an hour later, Zachary pulled up right outside Sullivan Residence. Hazel looked down to unfasten her seatbelt but was unable to free herself.
- "Let me." Zachary leaned over. Hazel let go and allowed Zachary to help her unfasten it.
- Zachary had noticed the fragrance on Hazel's body last night. Now, as they were barely an inch apart, his nostrils were filled with the pleasant scent of the girl's bodily fragrance…
