Chapter 27 Constructing Barriers

• Hazel remembered the time she was twelve and saved a dude who passed out in the snow. If she hadn't shown up when she did, the man would've already died. It was during a heavy snowfall which caused blocked roads and when darkness creeping in. Despite shivering violently from the cold, she had dragged him to a nearby cave and lit up some branches for warmth. However, it was still freezing even with the fire and the guy's fingers and toes were almost ice cubes.
• Hazel stripped down and hugged him tight, sharing their body heat to keep warm.
