Absinthe was shocked when cold steel landed on her neck from behind. She hold that thing on her neck and looked at the diamond necklace. She turned her back to see that person behind him.
It was a Costello heirloom necklace. His father gave it to him when he was thirteen and he kept it for how many years now. His parents tell him that he would give that necklace to someone special in his heart until he will be married.
"Vander..." she mumbled while caressing the necklace. "Why did you give me this thing?" She asked, there's a hint of curiosity in her voice.
