Chapter 4 A Sinner

  • Vander went downstairs. He emits the smoke and he looks hot doing that. While waiting, his mind is focused on Absinthe's reaction to what had happened with them last week in the punishment room. He was playing with his cigarette in his hand when he felt Absinthe's footsteps. He stood up and suck the cigarette he was holding. He blew it out when Absinthe walked directly on him.
  • "Good afternoon, babe. How's your sleep?" he greeted.
  • Absinthe rolled her eyes at him. "There's no good in the afternoon if you were the first, I saw."
  • Vander sits, throwing away the cigarette butts on the cigarette case. "How bad I am to you, Absinthe?" he asked, coldly.
  • His morning is good not until Absinthe ruined it by being mean to him. For the past three weeks that he's caging her in his mansion, he realized something-something that strange to him.
  • "Yeah, you're bad. As bad as Satan in hell," Absinthe answered, narrowing her eyes at him.
  • "Satan in hell or Satan in bed?" Vander mocked her.
  • This is nonsense!
  • She raised her brows. "Satan in hell," she answered, pissed.
  • I prefer Satan in hell rather than Satan on the bed. Idiot!
  • Vander ordered his men to put a blindfold on her. "Don't be too hard-headed, babe," Vander said while fixing his gun, "come with me or you will not have your peace inside my room."
  • "Enough of threatening me, Costello. Why not have a one-on-one match with me? Let's see who will be the one begging," she challenges him, trying to struggle with the handcuffs in her hands.
  • "If you'll keep on insisting on what you want, there will be a fucking match on my bed," he says, vulgarly. "Follow me, woman. Let's have a simple visit to your Mafia Clan." Vander still smirking ear to ear.
  • Yes, they will go to the hideout of his opponents which includes Absinthe. He will set her up as bait for them to bring out their leader who wanted to kill him.
  • "How can I follow you? You're still an idiot, Vander."
  • Vander didn't try to answer her when someone grab her both arms and let her walk.
  • "Come with us if you don't want to get hurt by El Señor."
  • She just blew air and walked silently. She felt that they are already on the outside of the mansion because of the fresh breeze of air.
  • Absinthe was never been afraid of her entire life but now, she felt the sudden change.
  • "As if he will hurt me," she mumbled.
  • She was with Vander in the car. She heard Vander, instructing his men on what should they do upon reaching the hideout of his enemy before he slammed the door and she felt someone sitting next to her. She smirks upon hearing their conversation.
  • "You can't beat them, Costello. All of you are weak because you just move without a plan on how to counterattack your enemy," she said while biting one of her fingers. "All your men will die. Never underestimate them."
  • Vander just smirks upon hearing what his babe says. "I'm not weak. We're not weak, Luna," he mumbled, coldly. "As if your clan was strong," Vander mumbled that he didn't let his companion hear that.
  • "W-What?!" she sounded, angry. "What the hell did you say? Repeat it, Costello!" she commanded.
  • "I'm not repeating whatever I said." His deep baritone voice lingers in Absinthe's ear. She was even more curious but there was nothing she could do when what Vander had said was final.
  • She was surprised by Vander’s sudden mention of her other name. Luna. No one knows about that even her co-members of their Mafia Clan. It was her hidden name in terms of a clash. Her identity is important to her but she underestimated the Greco Mafia leader. She’s a smart one but he’s smarter than her.
  • “Fine! You speak like a bee,” he uttered, annoyingly.
  • They’re not aware that Vander’s driver was grinning ear to ear upon the argumentative issue of the two but Vander is aware that his fucking driver is like teasing and looking at them in the rearview mirror.
  • “Stop grinning, Belarmino, or else, you’ll end up on the road, walking towards that fucking Mafia hideout!” He was mad right now, Absinthe felt it but restrain herself from laughing.
  • “You two are funny, El Señor. I didn’t know that you can talk too much…” His driver paused, looking at them in the rearview mirror, “when this drop-dead gorgeous woman you’ve been punishing in your room came. How is that?” The tone of its speech is mixed with nonsense.
  • Vander looked at him sharply in the rearview mirror. “If you don’t keep your mouth shut, I swear, I’ll throw you outside of this fucking car, Belarmino. Don’t fucking provoke me.”
  • Belarmino just nodded his head. “Okay, I surrender,” he said, reluctantly, “by the way, she’s really gorgeous.” He winked.
  • Vander heard a small laugh next to him. His fist clenched and he slowly, remove the blindfold of Absinthe. "You're laughing at me?" he asked, irritation in his voice.
  • Absinthe is suppressing her laugh and shook her head and lean against the window. She sighed deeply so that no one can see it.
  • This sex addict is so fucking authoritative.
  • A few minutes later, the car stopped.
  • "El Señor, we're here," Belarmino informed. "Absinthe, your hideout seems—” his words were cut off when Vander spoke.
  • "Don't call her like that, Belarmino. You are really provoking me, asshole!"
  • "I'm sorry, My Lord. I didn't mean to. Please, spare my life," he says and holds back his laugh.
  • Dencio Belarmino is his butler since he was 15 years old. He is the only person whom his father trusted for so long. It is not new to him that he's like his second father because he took care of him, doing everything he ordered around, cleaning his mess when he was involved in gang fights way back in his college years.
  • "Watch and tell me who's weak, Absinthe. Watch your comrades die in my hands," he spoke before walking out of the car.
  • Vander pulled the trigger, pointing the gun toward the men across the gate not far from where they stopped. "Die on my hands, assholes!" He fired his gun, silently.
  • Absinthe went out of the car and run towards Vander, punching him but before her hands landed on Vander's face, he caught it and dodge her attack.
  • "Don't be an asshole, Absinthe! Watch me, fucking watch me!" he shouted, encircling his hands on Absinthe's neck while holding her other hand.
  • She tries to struggle but Vander didn't let her.
  • "Fuck you, Costello! You're a weakling creature!"
  • Vander punched her. He didn't want to hurt her but he thinks that it is needed. He thinks of a rational decision to carry out his plans. Absinthe was getting pissed, struggling from Vander's grip, she twisted her body and kick him which made her get rid of his arms.
  • It was all messed up, the enemies also felt about the sudden change in their surroundings. Absinthe grinned at him, escaping on his arms. "Fuck you, Costello! I'm gonna take you down!"
  • Pointing a gun toward her, Vander smirks. "I'm gonna take you down on the bed. Behave yourself." His deep baritone voice becomes soft and husky.
  • "Bed yourself, stupid!" The mad Absinthe burst out and snatched the gun from Vander's hands and pointed at his head.
  • The gunfire didn't stop. Enemies, we're still exchanging gunshots.
  • "My Lord! The enemies are on the west wing of the mansion. Half of their men were found dead and bathed with their blood," one of Vander's men informed him.
  • Absinthe stilled, dropped the gun, and run inside the gate but she stopped when she saw the DiVance Mafia Clan who ordered her to kill Vander Costello. She gritted her teeth; anger filled her eyes and walk again.
  • Her clan was slaughtered, mercilessly. She couldn't believe that Greco Mafia are good enough and strong enough to kill thousands of DiVance Clan. She also didn't recognize those bodies scattered around even Vander's presence; she didn't notice it.
  • "Who's weakling creature, Absinthe?" Vander spoke behind her. "I told you, being a Greco-Mafia leader, I am one of the highest. I am a unified force with supreme authority," he bragged.
  • Absinthe who's now mad and ready to kill someone clenched her fist before looking back at Vander. She looked at him sharply, giving him a disgusting gaze. "You're among the highest but you're just a puppet of the government. You're just their dog!"
  • "I am their superior. Without me, this country is not free from slavery. I assassinate those people who have sins. I am the El Señor of the government you are saying. The highest among them all."
  • "Even if you're the highest, you are still a sinner," she fired back.
  • They are arguing about being a sinner but they didn't realize that they are both sinners. They are just the same. Both of them were born as sinners. To kill someone, innocent or not.
  • Vander's men were watching the two which they didn't even notice.
  • "Yes, I am a sinner for killing someone..." Vander confessed, "and I am a sinner of you. A walking sinner you can't restrain from desiring." Their faces are close to each other and Vander whispered against her ear, "sinner in bed, thrusting in and out inside of you."
