Chapter 26

• Jasmine had woken up with a splitting headache from the previous night’s drinking. She could barely walk to the bathroom to wash up, and now she was staring at her reflection in the mirror, using all the willpower she had left to brush her teeth. She hears her phone ringing and shuffles lazily across to get it, hoping that it is Cory. She smiles as she immediately sees the caller ID before finally picking up.
• “Are you ready?” the lady on the other side of the phone demands.
• “Depends on what you mean by ready” Jasmine teases.
