Chapter 21

• . As she walked down the first fleet of stairs, she looked down the hall and thought of Cory. She could not deny the fact that she missed having him around; she missed knowing he was in the same building with her. For some reason, it made her feel safer. She shook her head, telling herself to focus on what was in front of her and that was Josh.
• “Hey” she said in a low tone, getting Josh’s attention off his phone.
• She had already anticipated his compliment, in her head, she felt like she was going to prom and her date was about to have his mouth opened and after a few seconds, snap out of it and tell her she looked absolutely beautiful.
