• Jenny continued to seek refuge behind Michael, her hands tightly gripping his arm. Her expression appeared pitiful, yet she cast a scornful look at Jasmine, filled with satisfaction.
• Jasmine had a vague understanding of Jenny's intentions for seeking her out on the balcony. It seemed that Jenny had known all along that Michael would come looking for her, and she had deliberately put on a show to make him believe that she was pushing Jenny out of jealousy.
