Once Karen was finally safe, she glared at Yvonne with shock written all over her face. As she stared at Yvonne’s dazzlingly charming face, she thought, I should be thanking her since she saved me. But I’m only caught up in this mess all because of her! A gleam of fury then flashed across Karen’s gaze. Before Yvonne could realize this, Karen gathered all her force and furiously shoved Yvonne off the balcony—its railing was not there to stop her fall.
• Unprepared for this sudden attack, Yvonne fell off the platform immediately. Karen, who was left on the platform, felt her heart thumping wildly against her chest. I already pushed her off, but why don’t I hear any sound of her falling onto the ground? Fearfully, she shifted herself to the edge of the platform and looked downward, only to see Yvonne dangling in mid-air. She was saved from her fall to death by the curtain that she had wrapped her hand around earlier. But the curtain’s length left her dangling at an awkward position as she was too far from the platform and the ground below.
