Chapter 69 Something Is Wrong With Her

Yvonne responded with a glacial look, “It’s time for you to hold up your end of the bargain.” Meanwhile, Benjamin instantly burned the stack of pictures in front of Yvonne without much hesitation. While witnessing these pictures turning into ashes, Benjamin finally felt as if a load had been taken off his chest. At the same time, Yvonne was staring at Benjamin through the video call with a pathetic look. “I always thought my past in the orphanage was a stigma in my life until I came across someone with such a wicked heart. After this incident, we’ll no longer have anything to do with each other, and neither are we father and daughter anymore.”
In response to those harsh remarks, Benjamin replied in a disgusted manner, “You think I like being your father? You’ve always been a disgrace to me, just like your mother.” After that, the man didn’t even bother to look at Yvonne any longer whereupon he proceeded to hang up the video call. In the meantime, Yvonne stood in place for a moment before she slowly walked toward the man-made lake not far from the bungalow. As she arrived at the lake, she was greeted by a gentle breeze that grazed her face. Then, Yvonne took a paper bag out of her pocket and threw it into the lake, leaving immediately after that.
