Chapter 21 Unleashed Desires

• It's no exaggeration that UP was known for its party scene as much as its competitive admissions process. Since enrolling, there hasn't been a single week when I haven't attended at least one party. So, it made perfect sense for me to hit up as many Halloween parties as I could on this night. And let me tell you, I've been to my fair share of college Halloween parties, but no one does it quite like UP and Isla Vista's Halloween shutdown. In simpler terms, Del Playa is the place to be on Halloween.
• Avery, Kalix, and I explored the entire block, and every party we attended was a hit. Eventually, we decided to split up, with them heading back to ATO while I revisited Drew's place. The visiting UCLA football team and their entourage have kept me company, and let me tell you, these people know how to throw a party. The last hour has been a mix of classic throwback tunes, just as promised.
• During the evening, there were even some slow songs. I shared a dance or two with one of the linebackers. I think he mentioned his name was Darell, but I can't say for sure. I will say this, though – he was one heck of a kisser.
