Chapter 8
- Cassandra woke up to her deep slumber, and it was Sebastian's face that she first saw. Sebastian was looking at her intently. He intended to leave after Cassandra had fallen asleep last night, but she was having a nightmare.
- "Hi," Cassandra shyly said. Sebastian brushed the stray hair on her face and smiled. "I thought you left," she added. Cassandra blushed as she soon realized she was returning his smile.
- "I couldn't leave you behind," Sebastian said and pulled her close.
- "How's your sleep?" he asked. Cassandra snuggled closed. She didn't want to go and wished to cuddle with Sebastian all day long.
- "Fine, I slept really well," Cassandra answered. It was the truth; she felt at peace with Sebastian on her side. Sebastian kissed the top of Cassandra's head. He was glad that Cassandra couldn't remember anything about her bad dream.
- "I'll fetch you later, okay? I have to go now," Sebastian said. He stood up and picked up his shirt. Cassandra stared at him. Sebastian had a well-toned body and clear skin, so tempting to touch. Those muscles that Cassandra could run her fingers into. Sebastian's physique was a work of art. Their eyes locked, a strong emotion of lust swirled inside the small room.
- "Don't tempt me, love," Sebastian chuckled and put his clothes on. Cassandra's eyes widened, and quickly avoided Sebastian's gaze while blushing hardly.
- "I'll see you later," Sebastian said. Cassandra nodded her head and watched her mate opened the window and jumped, completely disappeared from her sight. Cassandra stood up and went to prepare. She was smiling from ear to ear, excited to see Sebastian again.
- After Cassandra was done, she quickly grabbed her bag and headed outside, where she found Lisanna and Abegail grinning.
- "Move faster. Someone's waiting for you, "Lisanna said. Cassandra checked herself in the compact mirror she had. Abegail grabbed it away from her hand and raised her thumb up.
- "You look beautiful, now go!" Abegail said while laughing. Cassandra shook her head and went out. She immediately saw Sebastian leaning on the wall with his eyes closed. His hands are in his pockets, and looking handsome. Sebastian was wearing a plain white shirt partnered with pants and shoes. Cassandra approached her slowly, trying to surprise him, but he suddenly opened his eyes and smirked at her.
- "Let's go?" Sebastian asked. Cassandra nodded her head. The two walked away while Lisanna and Abegail watched them, giggling lie a bunch of kids. When they arrived, all eyes are on them. Murmurs and whispers filled the large hallway.
- "Why are they together? What about Joanna?" Casandra heard a girl whispered. Cassandra sighed; she just wanted the ground to swallow her whole. She was confident in fighting Joanna, but what irks her was getting unnecessary attention.
- "What's wrong?" Sebastian asked.
- "I'm not used to it," Cassandra confessed. Sebastian chuckled and put his arm on her shoulders.
- "You'll get used to it. You are with me, so you'll get a lot of attention," Sebastian mumbled. What he had said was right on the mark.
- "Besides, you are the Alpha's daughter. Don't mind them, and don't let it get to you," Sebastian said. Cassandra nodded her head. If she wanted to stand by Sebastian's side, she had to hold her head up high. The two went to their classroom and sat on their respective chairs, waiting for the professor to come.
- "We don't have class today!" one of their classmates yelled. "They sent out the last-minute message. They have an important meeting today," he added. The others groaned whole the other rejoiced. Cassandra sighed, it was fun to learn, but the meeting seemed urgent.
- "Let's go, love," Sebastian said. He grabbed Cassandra's bag with his hand and carried it with him while the other was holding Cassandra's.
- "Where are we going?" Cassandra asked.
- "Date," Sebastian said and winked at her. Cassandra reddened; it will be her first date with her mate. She couldn't help but be excited. "Where do you want to go?" he added.
- "You choose. I don't know any places outside the Academia," Cassandra mutter. Sebastian squeezed her hand.
- "I know a place you will like," he said. They went out of the school. Various shops lined up perfectly outside the school. They went to a café with lots of books that the customer could read while resting and eating. Sebastian must have noticed that Cassandra loves to read books because of her small collection in the dorm.
- "Let's play twenty questions, Blood," Cassandra said while waiting for their orders to be served.
- "Okay, ask away," Sebastian said.
- "What's your favorite color?" Cassandra asked. On cue, the order arrived. The server put it on their table and left. Sebastian took a mouthful of fries before answering.
- "I like red," Sebastian replied. "Am I handsome?" he asked. Cassandra glared at him.
- "What question is that?" Cassandra asked and rolled her eyes. "Yes, you are, undoubtedly. What's your favorite food," she asked while blushing.
- "Isn't it obvious? I like blood," Sebastian bluntly said that surprised Cassandra. She shook her head at his bluntness.
- "My turn again," Sebastian said. Cassandra was enjoying the game with him. "How many boyfriends you had until you find me?" Sebastian seriously asked with his clenched fist. He wanted to know their names and which pack do they belong to.
- "Never had one," Cassandra said while smiling.
- "No one? Are you kidding me right now?" Sebastian asked.
- "No, I'm not," Cassandra mumbled and sipped her drink. "I never dated because I want my mate to be my first and my last," she added. Cassandra could feel the warmth of the blush as it crawled up her neck.
- "Damn, don't make that face," Sebastian mumbled. "It's fucking hard for me to control myself because I wanted to kiss you badly," he added quietly. Cassandra cleared her throat and looked away, fanning herself.
- "Why did it suddenly turned hot in her?" Cassandra blurted out. Sebastian laughed out loud, holding his stomach. "Did I said it out loud?" she shyly asked. Sebastian nodded his head as a response.
- "Oh my god!" Cassandra said and quickly covered her mouth.
- "It's fine. You looked so damn cute, hon. It's your turn now," Sebastian said while shaking the bottle.
- "I don't have anything in mind now," Cassandra pouted her lips. "I'll skip this round," she added.
- "Do you like me?" Sebastian asked. The question caught Cassandra off guard. "Cassandra, do you like me?" he asked once again.
- "Yes," Cassandra said while stuttering a little. Sebastian cupped her face and stared into her eyes.
- "I like you too, Cassandra Louise. I like you very much," Sebastian muttered. "Just wait for me to say the other word you wanted to hear," he added and smiled at her. They didn't talk after what happened in the café. Cassandra's face was still flushed. The two of them walk hand in hand.
- "Blood, I need to go to the powder room for a moment," Cassandra said. She needs to retouch. "Wait for me here," she added. Cassandra went to the public bathroom to fix herself. Cassandra went out and bumped into someone.
- "Storm? What are you doing here?" Cassandra asked.
- "Oh, hey, Cassandra!" Storm said and grinned. "I'm buying snacks for my friends," he added and raised the paper bags filled with food.
- "Alright. Nice seeing you, Storm. I need to go now," Cassandra said and walked away, but Storm stopped her and pushed her gently on the wall. He leaned close to her.
- "What the hell, Storm!?" Cassandra angrily said.
- "I'm sorry, Cassandra. I don't know what's got into me," Strom said apologetically. He slightly bowed his head and scratched the back of his head.
- "It's fine but don't do it again," Cassandra said and left him. She went back to where Sebastian is, but he was nowhere to be found. Cassandra tried finding him in the stalls around but failed. She heaved a sigh. Casandra picked her phone in the bag to call Sebastian, but she had forgotten that she never got Sebastian's number. She decided to go back to the dorm, and there, Cassandra found Sebastian standing.
- "You're here! Why did you leave me?" Cassandra said. She began to feel irritated. "You made me worried. I thought something happened to you!" she added. Instead of answering, Sebastian faced her, eyes change into red. Cassandra took a step backward.
- "Blood? Are you alright?" Cassandra asked quietly. Sebastian started walking towards her and grabbed her hand, pinning her in the wall.
- "What the fuck is your problem, Blood!?" Cassandra angrily asked. Sebastian glared at her and kissed her harshly. He bit her lips that Cassandra could feel her own blood. Cassandra tried her best to push him away, but Sebastian won't budge. She doesn't like the idea of kissing him when he's like this. Cassandra could feel her tears streaming down her face.
- "Fuck! I'm so sorry, love," Sebastian said and hugged her tightly. Cassandra sniffled a sobbed. "I didn't mean it. The jealousy got the best of me. Please forgive me," he added and rested his forehead in hers, wiping the stray tears on her face.
- "Why? What did I do?" Cassandra asked.
- "I'm really sorry," Sebastian said. "I saw you with Story. He was kissing you," he venomously said while clenching his fist.
- "What? We didn't kiss!" Cassandra said, defending herself. "He suddenly pulled me and pinned me in the wall. I was furious at what he did, but he said he didn't mean it," Cassandra added. She wanted to smack Storm in the head for creating such a mess.
- "Fuck! I'm really sorry. I really thought he kissed you," Sebastian said. He was ashamed of what he did to his mate. Cassandra cupped his face and smiled at him.
- "I want you and not him, okay?" Cassandra muttered. Sebastian sighed and nodded his head. Cassandra won't love another guy because Sebastian is the one destined for her.
- "I'm sorry, I ruined your first kiss," Sebastian said. "I want to kiss you again, but this time I want to do it properly. Would you let me kiss you, hon?" he added and lovingly looked at her.
- "Yes. Kiss me, Blood," Cassandra breathlessly said. Sebastian gently cupped her face and kissed her. This time he did it passionately, full of emotions that Cassandra couldn't decipher.
