Chapter 6
- Cassandra can't even begin to describe the anger she's feeling. She's pissed, way beyond pissed. Cassandra went to the classroom after talking to her mate, finding him already seated on a chair. She felt elated and tried approaching him, but Sebastian ignored her. He did it throughout the class. Even in the next subjects that they' were in together, he purposely ignored Cassandra.
- "So you want this, vampire? I'll give it to you. Fucking idiot," she cursed under her breath.
- After the bell rang, signaling the end of the class. Cassandra hurriedly went out of the room without waiting for Sebastian. She walked a fast-paced to the cafeteria. Every student Cassandra would encounter on the way would glare at her. When she entered, a bucket of gooey green with a pungent smell was poured over her head.
- "How cliché," Cassandra muttered. On cue, Joanna, with her friends, walked towards her, smiling widely. Cassandra heaved a sighed and started removing the gooey thing on her.
- "Wow, you look…disgusting," Joanna said and laughed, followed by her friends and the rest of the students in the cafeteria. Instead of hiding on the corner because of humiliation, Cassandra stepped forward with her head held up high and smiled sweetly at Joanna. She had a lot of pent up frustrations today, but she won't let Joanna get her.
- "Is this all you can do, Joanna?" Cassandra mocked her. "I didn't know you were this childish," she added. Joanna's face turned red. Her friends were about to attack Cassandra, but Joanna blocked them with her arm.
- "Bitch!" Joanna angrily spat.
- "Are you referring to yourself?" Cassandra said while smiling and walked past them. The students inside looked at her while she was walking away. Cassandra had just verbally declared war against Joanna Redwood. She quickly went to the women's shower room to wash and change her dirtied and smelly clothes.
- Cassandra threw her clothes and went out. She was glad that she saved Lisanna's sandwich earlier because she couldn't get back to the cafeteria and order her food after what she had done. Cassandra roamed around the campus and saw a humungous tree far away from students. She began climbing it, and when she was on the top, she closed her eyes and drifted to sleep.
- Cassandra was woken up by the sound of someone strumming a guitar down below. She stretched her body and looked down, seeing a boy singing softly while playing the guitar.
- "I know, you're there," he suddenly said. Cassandra smirked and jumped down.
- "What are you doing up there?" he asked and looked above. "And you're a woman; why are you carelessly jumping down the tree," he added with a displeased looked plastered on his face. Cassandra raised her eyebrow and put her hands on her waist.
- "Why do you care?" she sassily said.
- "I'm sorry. I'm Storm Grim, by the way," he said and extended his hand.
- "I'm Cassandra Louise Reese," she answered and took his hand.
- "So, you are the famous Cassandra everyone is talking about," Storm chuckled. Cassandra looked at him weirdly and sat beside him.
- "What famous? I am not famous, okay?" she seriously said. Cassandra glanced at the birds flying above them and hugged her knees.
- "You didn't know?" Storm asked. He put his guitar on the ground and face her.
- "Obviously," Cassandra snappishly said, which made Storm laughed.
- "You are famous because you were the first one to do that to Joanna," he said. "You even dared to talk back to her," he added and picked up his guitar. Storm began strumming once again. Cassandra scoffed. The incident earlier had traveled so far and now calling her famous.
- "Well, she's unreasonably mean to me," she said, remembering the gooey, smelly thing that had been poured on her. She pouted her red but thin lips. "But I don't care about her," she added.
- "I don't know if you're brave or just plain idiot," Storm said. Cassandra glared at her, feeling a little bit insulted by what he had said.
- "Hey, I have to go," she said. She stood up and fixed her clothes.
- "Take care," he said. Cassandra walked away and waved her hand. It was about time for her next subject. She went to the room, and when she opened it, students began throwing their things at her.
- "Come on, this is bullshit," she whispered under her breath. She breathed deeply, trying to calm herself down, and walked to her seat. They stopped what they were doing when the professor walks inside the room. Cassandra shook her head, but this time she was glad that Sebastian wasn't in the place with her. Even the most prestigious school Academia had small fries bullies.
- When the class ended, Cassandra hurriedly went out and saw Sebastian leaning on the wall waiting for her arrival. Sebastian walked towards her, but the anger she had been feeling all day prevailed. Cassandra evaded him and went back to the dorm. She immediately slumped on her bed, feeling tired. A knock on the door interrupted her.
- "Can we come inside?" Lisanna asked outside. Cassandra put her bag aside and opened the door revealing her friends' worried faces.
- "We heard what happened," Abegail sadly said and touched Cassandra's shoulder.
- "We heard you were being bullied!" Lisanna shouted, her eyes tearing up. Cassandra chuckled and patted her head. She also squeezes Abegail's hand, assuring her that everything's fine.
- "Yes, it was orchestrated by Joanna," she said and let out a sigh.
- "Are you okay? Do you want us to accompany you tomorrow?" Abegail asked. Cassandra softly smiled and shook her head. She doesn't want the two to be involved in her own mess.
- "No, I'm fine. I may not look like it, but I can handle those bullies by myself," she confidently said. Cassandra was raised by his Alpha father – the strongest one in the North. There's no way she would back down at the mere sight of small bullies.
- The three went out to eat, and after that, they had a fun talk while watching movies. All of Cassandra's frustrations dissipated. When the movie ended, showing its credits, the three decided to retire the night. They went to their respective rooms to sleep.
- Cassandra went inside her room and almost jumped out of shock when she saw Sebastian casually sitting on her bed. She narrowed her eyes and spoke.
- "What the fuck are you doing in my room, Blood!?"
- All of the pent-up anger, she has resurfaced once again, seeing her mate's face. Sebastian looked at her unmoving. She pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration.
- "What are you doing here? You were the one who purposely ignored me the whole day, and now you're casually sitting on my bed?" she angrily said.
- "You dared to show up here after what happened. I'm not in the mood to deal with your shits right now, so go away," Cassandra said, her hands trembling. She wanted to punch Sebastian straight to his face to ease the anger she's feeling.
- "I missed you," Sebastian said, quietly as possible. Due to her heightened senses, Cassandra was able to hear it. It made her speechless. He stood up from her bed and slowly walked towards her. She gulped on after another when she saw the longing expression on his eyes.
- "I missed you, Louise," he whispered in her ear and engulfed her into a hug. He buried his head on Cassandra's neck, inhaling her scent.
- "But why?" she asked. Cassandra was so confused.
- "I did it for your sake, love," he said and sat, pulling Cassandra with him. "I did it so that Joanna won't harass you and to avoid the council. You know it's unusual for a vampire and werewolf to be mates, right?" he said. Cassandra nodded her head and leaned on Sebastian.
- "I don't want you to be in danger until we know everything," he said, stroking Cassandra's hair gently. "But you being a stubborn wolf, talked back to Joanna and raised unwanted attention to yourself," he added and let out a chuckle. Cassandra frowned.
- "Now, all my hard work was put in vain," he said.
- "You should have told me about your plan, Seb. I can cooperate with you," she shyly said. He kissed the top of her head and intertwined their fingers.
- "You've met a boy," he said and glared at Cassandra. She smiled sheepishly at him and kissed his cheeks.
- "Just a friend, Seb," she answered truthfully.
- "But I don't like it," he said. Cassandra playfully hit his shoulders and got down from his lap to transfer to bed.
- "Oh, shut up!" she said and laughed. She climbed unto the bed, and Sebastian followed her. "So, you're not going to ignore me tomorrow?" she asked and yawned. Sebastian sexily chuckled. It feels like music to Cassandra's ear.
- "No, I will not. Now go to sleep, love," he said and kissed her forehead. She snuggled close to him for warmth and closed her eyes.
- "Will you stay with me until I fall asleep?" she mumbled groggily.
- "Yes. Sleep tight, my Queen." It's the last thing Cassandra has head until she succumbs into a deep slumber.
