King Matthias informs me of a small party King Myenas is throwing for the royals he’s in business with. Due to my recent alliance with Red River, I’ve secured an invite to Castle Pestera for the event. The invitation comes with restrictions but it’s our only way to get the potion to Rainer so I can’t complain. I’m allowed a plus one, but I’m not allowed to bring guards or weapons inside of the castle.
The drive to Carmine Falls is long and tense. Ivy spends half of that time going over ground rules with me. We may be keeping up the ruse of her being my mistress and personal feeder, but that in no way means I’m allowed to touch or bite her. If I cross her established boundaries, she will not hesitate to set me on fire.
