• Willow and I have visited Ivy regularly over the years. While Willow’s relationship with the rest of the coven is strained due to the century of bloody history between vampires and witches, Ivy is the last of Willow’s family in the coven. She is the great-granddaughter of Willow’s younger sister, Bryony, whom our daughter is named after, and she cherishes that connection.
• Ivy and I aren’t exactly friends, but we’re cordial enough. She’s good with my daughter, and Bryony adores Ivy, following her around the cottage and gardens to ask her about magic. If my daughter is able to use magic one day, Ivy’s guidance will help her to learn how to use it responsibly. Of course, Willow will help with that, too, but sometimes parents don’t have as much luck teaching their children as other adults do.
