Chapter 7 Relationship between You Two?

  • Harrison glanced at Cecilia and said coldly, "She has been working with me for four years. She understands me, and I on the other hand have gotten used to her."
  • "But…"
  • "Francesca, you majored in fashion design. Being the CEO's secretary doesn't suit you, and it's tiring too.
  • "If you want to intern here, go to the design department."
  • Francesca didn't want to. Regardless of whether she fit the role, she just wanted to stay by Harrison's side!
  • "Come on," he said to her, "I've already discussed it with your parents and my mom. They agree with my idea."
  • Francesca was speechless. It had already been decided, and there was no other way around it. She could only compromise.
  • "Harrison, it's fine if you want me to work in the design department, but the designers there all have assistants! I need one too."
  • She pointed at Cecilia, "I want her!"
  • Harrison frowned.
  • Francesca walked over, held his arm, and said, "Harrison, I graduated at the top of my class! Even before I graduated, I had already won many international awards.
  • "If the other designers have assistants, I can't be the only one without one, right? I'll only be borrowing her for a while, please?"
  • Harrison finally agreed.
  • Francesca had successfully gotten Cecilia to leave Harrison's side and made her, the CEO's head secretary, become her assistant.
  • Upon arriving at the design department, both women entered the private office prepared for Francesca.
  • The door was closed.
  • "Smack!"
  • Francesca slapped Cecilia, "Damn it! You've already taken my money, how dare you come back?
  • "You even came back with Harrison! Tell me, is there nothing between you and him?"
  • One side of Cecilia's face was hit.
  • "No," she denied, her face remaining cold and emotionless.
  • She looked at Francesca and calmly said, "Ms. Scott, I can't lose my job here. I need money! After all, the salary of the CEO's head secretary is not low."
  • Francesca eyed her suspiciously, "If you want a job that pays well, I can have you work at Scott Business! You can be my brother's secretary."
  • This time, Cecilia disagreed.
  • "Ms. Scott, you already know I'm just a high school graduate! It was Mr. Grant who allowed me to work with him in the first place. As long as he needs me, I will stay at Grant Business!"
  • Francesca was mad.
  • She glared at Cecilia, "If that's the case, why did you agree to resign? Why did you accept the money I gave you?"
  • "Because Ms. Scott, you're Mr. Grant's fiancée. He's about to get engaged with you. I thought it'd be wise to obey your instructions."
  • "So what?" Francesca asked.
  • This damn woman! Is she provoking me now? Does she think that as Mr. Grant's fiancée, the future wife of Harrison Grant, I cannot kick her out? She thought.
  • "Ms. Scott, I'll return the year-end bonus and the salary."
  • Francesca was furious!
  • She glared at Cecilia, "You better not have anything with Harrison! If I catch you, you're dead for sure!"
  • In the evening, Cecilia finished her work and exited the design department to wait for the elevator. As the elevator door opened, she saw Harrison standing inside.
  • "Mr. Grant."
  • Politely and distantly she greeted him but made no move to enter the elevator.
  • Harrison was displeased, "What're you waiting for?"
  • She had no choice but to step inside. She stood beside him with her head down.
  • Harrison's cold gaze fell on Cecilia's delicate features. With just one glance, he saw the mark on her face.
  • She had been hit!
  • They were alone in the elevator.
  • Harrison caressed her swelling cheek, "What happened?"
  • Cecilia shook her head, "It's nothing."
  • Her answer displeased him, but he said nothing afterward.
  • The elevator reached the first floor and opened. Harrison walked out first, his demeanor cold and distant. He quickly left the lobby, got into his car, and drove away.
  • Cecilia followed him out of the lobby. She turned left, walking back to the apartment as she usually did.
  • It seemed like they were absolute strangers!
  • At 10:00 pm that night, Harrison came to the apartment.
  • He rang the doorbell.
  • Cecilia quickly came to the door, "Mr. Grant."
  • "Hm," the man responded.
  • He was tipsy. Instantly he embraced her and started kissing her! He missed her so much during his business trip! Right now, he just wanted to…
  • "Mr. Grant…"
