Chapter 1 Secretary And Lover

  • They had just finished their passionate moment in the bedroom of a luxurious apartment. The atmosphere was still permeated with the lingering heat as well as the man's masculine musk and the fragrance of the woman's perfume.
  • A drop of sweat rolled down the man's abs. The desire in his eyes had just been appeased, but he was not yet satisfied! He stared momentarily before reaching out to pick up the exhausted woman.
  • "I know you're awake, open your eyes and look at me! You wanted this!"
  • Cecilia Young's body felt weak as though all her strength had been drained. She couldn't even lift a finger.
  • Her hair clung to her neck, and her rosy face looked even more enticing under the warm yellow light.
  • The man gazed into the woman's hazy eyes, he felt himself getting hotter. His voice was hoarse as he said, "Let's get you washed up!"
  • He picked her up and brought her into the bathroom. Turning on the shower, he put her into the bathtub filled with hot water…
  • Then he joined her inside.
  • Two hours had passed when he walked out of the bathroom.
  • He held her in his arms, a fire still burning inside him.
  • "Tired?"
  • "Mm," Cecilia answered. To him, her voice was intoxicating and enticing.
  • She closed her eyes hoping to rest but fought back the urge to do so. Instead, she stared at the man in front of her.
  • He had handsome features and was extremely good-looking. He had a cold personality and an elegant demeanor.
  • Both he and she were from utterly different worlds. He was her benefactor, the benefactor she turned to for money.
  • For the past four years, Cecilia had lost count of how much money she had asked from the man. Even when she felt reluctant, she had no choice but to bring the topic up.
  • Biting her lip, she said, "I'm running out of living expenses…"
  • "Hmph!" The man mocked.
  • He lifted the woman's chin and stared at her apple-red face.
  • Her eyelids were wet with tears because of what had happened in the bathroom. Her nose sat perfectly between her eyes. Her swollen, glossy lips which he had kissed!
  • Her eyes were avoiding his gaze.
  • Damn it! He thought, feeling yet another burning sensation grow in him.
  • Harrison Grant's eyes darkened. His voice was hoarse. With a hint of anger, he asked, "How much is it this time?"
  • "500 thousand."
  • "Don't worry, you'll have it!"
  • Without much hesitation, he agreed. After all, it was merely money she wanted. He had plenty of it!
  • "You need to work harder to earn that 500 thousand, don't you agree?"
  • As the man's words trailed off, his face had already drawn closer. He kissed her lips passionately…
  • Early the next morning, Cecilia woke up and felt an immense soreness all over her body. Slowly she turned her head, propped herself up, and saw a card on the bedside table. There was an unread message on her phone.
  • "There's 500 thousand dollars in the card, enough for you to get by this month! You're not worthy enough to ask for more! Do that and you won't get a penny in the future!"
  • His words were cold, but it was what Cecilia deserved. She wasn't worth that much.
  • But… Her thoughts trailed off as she smiled bitterly.
  • She turned off her phone, showered, and brushed her teeth. She changed into her working attire and put on light makeup. Then she put the bank card into her purse.
  • It took only a five-minute walk for her to reach the company. She took the elevator directly to the CEO's office, sat at the desk outside it, and started her day's work.
  • Cecilia was a beautiful woman. Her delicate features and tall, slender figure made her stand out.
  • She had a likable personality. She was gentle and calm, yet ambitious and intelligent.
  • But in the eyes of all her colleagues at Grant Business, Cecilia was aloof!
  • She didn't talk much, didn't like to interact with people, and preferred to be alone. She seemed isolated. She hadn't even made any friends after working at Grant Business for four years!
  • The only person she made the most contact with was Harrison.
  • During the day, she was his competent secretary who handled everything well. When dusk fell, she was his "lover" who pleased him in every way! A woman he could have with just money.
  • It was 9:00 am. Cecilia knocked on the door to the CEO's office. Then she pushed the door open and walked in.
  • "Mr. Grant, there are a few documents that need to be reviewed. There is a high-level meeting at 10:00 am and you need to have lunch with Mr. Leed at noon. At 2:00 pm, Mr. Stone wants to see you…"
  • Cecilia spoke slowly, reminding Harrison of his schedule for the day.
