Chapter 98
- The harsh ringing and vibrating assault penetrated Sophia's sleep-addled brain, pulling her out of darkness. She groaned, attempting to reach for the invasive noise, semi-aware and caught in a warm, comfy bubble until it rudely awakened her. She tried to roll towards it but was restricted and held tight in an overly hot embrace around her waist and shoulders that brought her back to consciousness with a jolt, realizing she wasn't in bed alone.
- "Goddammit," Leon murmured right at her ear, sleepy and unamused at the interruption to their slumber. He rolled over on top of her, half flattening her tiny frame with his weight, chuckling at her 'oofft' noise and catching the cell phone on the bedside, sliding it to him. He braced himself on one arm just enough to let her breathe and got himself an elbow in the ribs for squashing her, caging her in and hanging over her in a pose that made her blush.
- "Hello." His voice was gravelly and lazy as Sophia blinked open her eyes fully, adjusting to the early morning dimness to see her handsome and ruffled man leaning up on one elbow and then pushing himself to an upright position. His eyes were closed as he listened to whoever was on the other end. He pushed his free hand into his hair, propping up his forehead, looking painfully cute at being this tired. He was still fully dressed due to sleeping on top of the duvet last night to clarify that he wasn't going to do or try anything with her other than sleep. His hair was flopping over his fingers, and he generally looked wrinkled and sexy for being rudely awoken. Even like this, half asleep, puffy-eyed, and acting like a grumpy child who's been torn awake, Sophia found him irresistible.
