Chapter 15 Waiting Game

• It's been two days since Rain got attacked, and she still shows no signs of waking up. The doctor keeps saying she will wake up when she's ready, but it makes me nervous. What if she doesn't want to wake up? What if she's decided to give up? I'm not sure I could handle that, knowing I'm the reason she got attacked. I need her to wake up. I need her to know how sorry I am for everything.
• "Zion, sorry to disturb you, but the witch the coven sent is here," Sam says, pulling me from my thoughts.
• "Show her in," I say as I sit up, checking her vitals on the monitor on the other side of her bed.
