Chapter 31 Our Relationship

• It had been three days since Norman and I had reconciled. Our relationship was very smooth. At work, we were complete strangers, well, he was my boss, actually, he was everyone's boss. But at home, he was a loving father to his children, always attentive to them and to me. However, something had changed since our last sexual encounter. During all this time, I had been sleeping alone because Norman had a lot of work.
• Most of the time, when he came home from work, he locked himself in his office to continue working, so we rarely saw each other. I knew from James that he visited his children and spent some time playing with them. Many times, he bathed and dressed them while I fed them and spent the rest of the night with them until they fell asleep. But during these three days, I always woke up alone, although from the warmth of the sheets, I knew that Norman had slept by my side.
