Chapter 46 Startled

• Slowly twisting the doorknob, the door made a cracking sound as it was pulled open. I quietly peeped my head before I pushed my leg inside. I sneaked when tiptoeing to avoid creating any awareness.
• "Bamm!!!" The empty pail on my hand falls making a noise. I stilled with a trembling heart and that's when it dawned on me that I was the only person inside the room because if he was here, he could have come out to find out what might have caused that humming sound against the floor. His almond black eyes held me in a place as I felt lost in them.
