Chapter 11 How Did He Touch You
- Clara recalled the conversation over the phone yesterday. She suddenly felt nauseous. "Jon Randel, you shut up!"
- Jon smiled mirthlessly and sneered at her. "Enough of being pretentious! Seems like that man didn't satisfy you enough, so you still want it."
- Clara regained her senses. "Go away."
- A sharp look flashed across his eyes as he planted a kiss on her lips.
- It wasn't a kiss, to be exact. He bit her lips and tore them with his teeth. Then he licked and sucked her blood. His tongue did not enter her mouth.
- Clara tried hard to struggle out of his grip. Unfortunately, he was too strong for her. She could not break free at all.
- Jon tasted her sweet blood and smelled the fragrance of her body scent.
- Her lips were very soft.
- He could barely control himself anymore.
- He could picture her spending the night with James. A sharp glint flashed across his eyes. He let go of her and asked her threateningly, "Which other part of your body was touched by other men?"
- His hand moved down!
- Clara was shocked.
- She did not want him to touch her.
- Her glance stopped at the fruit knife on the coffee table.
- She quickly grabbed the opportunity and grabbed the fruit knife. She placed it against Jon's neck.
- Jon paused and looked at Clara.
- But there was no fear in his eyes.
- He snickered. "Do it if you dare. Let me see how cruel you can be."
- Clara's hand trembled. There was a sharp glint in her eyes as she stared at him cautiously.
- "Didn't you say that you don't care about touching me? Didn't you say you'd go limp as soon as my name is mentioned? What are you doing now? Are you eating your own words?" Clara retorted.
- "Hah," Jon chuckled and taunted her. "I regret it now. I'm actually curious how attractive you are to be able to charm other men."
- He approached her once more and lifted her skirt.
- Clara was frightened. She quickly extended her arm and stabbed his arm.
- However, before she could even touch him, he quickly grabbed her arm.
- His grip was so tight that her bones almost shattered. His knife fell to the ground.
- The corners of his mouth curled upwards. His eyes were filled with anger. "Come and stab my heart. I won't die."
- "I don't want to stain my hands by killing you." Clara glared at him hatefully.
- Jon sneered. His cold hand brushed across her fair cheeks. There was no pity at all in her eyes. "How did he touch you yesterday? Did he stick his tongue in?"
- "Do you think everyone is as disgusting as you? He did not touch me at all." Clara pulled his fingers off her.
- Jon did not believe her. "Are you trying to fool me? Both of you spent the night together. You had a change of clothes and even showered. Is he dysfunctional? Or are you insulting my intelligence?"
- "It's up to you whether you want to believe it or not." A glint of light flashed across Clara's eyes. She kicked at his stomach mercilessly.
- Jon was surprised. He did not expect that she would kick him there.
- He took a step back in surprise and avoided Clara's feet.
- Clara took the plate of fruits on the table and threw it toward Jon.
- Jon dodged.
- Clara rushed out of the house without looking back.
- "Damn," Jon cursed furiously. He overturned the coffee table.
- ……
- Clara had learned her lesson from the previous incidents. She dared not return to the apartment anymore. She spent the whole day in the hospital.
- In the afternoon, after Clara completed a surgical operation, she turned around and saw James in her office. He was leaning on the wall in her office, and looking at her quietly.
- Clara shuddered.
- "You, why are you here?"
- A person like him would have the dean welcome him at the entrance.
- It would be highly inappropriate if anyone saw him waiting here!
- James looked at her and answered, "To buy clothes. We agreed on it."
- So it was because of this. Clara nodded. Just as she was about to continue, James stepped near her. He brushed his fingertips lightly against her lips, as if he was helping her get rid of something on it.
- "What's this?"
- The wound on her lip was clearly a bite.
- James's eyes were filled with a murderous intent when he thought that this might be a trace left behind by another man.
- Clara was startled. She took a step back and shook his hand off.
- "I accidentally injured myself," Clara replied guiltily.
- "Did you get hit?" James took a guess.
- Clara hesitated and replied in a low voice, "This won't happen anymore in the future. Days like this are coming to an end."
- "What do you mean?" James was puzzled.
- Clara shook her head and said nothing.
- James turned his face away and sulked quietly.
- However, in the end, James could not contain himself anymore. He cast a glance at her and said, "Let's go. Lieutenant Colonel Adler is still outside."
- It was an order. Clara could not say no.
- She could only follow him.
- At the carpark.
- He had brought his personal Rolls Royce.
- James invited Clara to get into the car. Then he ordered, "To Mercury Tower."
- Mercury Tower was a luxurious mall. Clara did not normally go there. But when she thought about her debt to James, she squeezed a smile forcefully and said, "I know that place. It's not a bad place. It'll be my treat."
- James did not answer her.
- She was indeed trying hard to sever any ties with him.
- Not long later, they arrived at a French restaurant on the fifth floor of Mercury Tower.
- Lieutenant Colonel Adler left first, saying that he had something else to do.
- Both of them fell silent after ordering their food.
- Clara started a topic. "Then, did the shooter get caught?"
- "No. This was obviously planned. The motorcycle did not exit the tunnel after he entered it. When we arrived, his bike was there, but he had disappeared," James explained.
- His voice had a tenor-like timbre to it. It was similar to the deep and rich sound you'd hear from a cello.
- At that moment, his voice sounded very pleasant to the ears.
- "Is your job always this dangerous?" Clara could still feel fear inside her when she thought of the scene.
- He gave her a slight smile. He had a very handsome smile. His eyes smiled together with his lips. "Are you concerned about me?"
- "After going through a life-or-death situation together, it's hard not to feel so," Clara replied him unnaturally and took a sip of her lemon tea.
- The look in James' eyes softened. He did not answer her question, but hesitated. "There is a vacancy for a doctor in the Special Forces in the Military Camp now. Are you interested?"
- "Are there pregnant women in the Special Forces? My profession doesn't seem right." Clara gave him a sweet smile.
- James looked at her. "If we do not have an obstetrician, this dangerous task will befall to regular civilians instead."
- Clara gave it a serious thought for a while. "I don't think it's suitable for me. I prefer to be free."
- James: "……"
- He was quite disappointed that she wasn't taking up the offer.
- At this time, someone suddenly came to their table.
- "What a coincidence." Elly Randel's voice rang.
- She stood in front of their table. She cast a hateful glare at Clara, then looked at James.
- James ignored her. He lowered his head and continued eating his steak.
- Elly gritted her teeth and announced gleefully, "James Frazer, I have good news. I am now the Special Forces' doctor. I hope we will cooperate well in future."
- James frowned and looked at Elly nonchalantly. "You'll still need my approval to come. You are not permitted entry into Special Forces without my explicit permission."
- Elly smiled. "I knew you'd say this. Uncle Frazer has given permission, and has issued the order."
- "So what?" James taunted coldly.
- "So……" Elly glared at Clara proudly. "I will continue to pester you. I will follow you anywhere you go. Where there is a will, there is a way. I will work hard."
- Clara looked at Elly calmly. She guessed that the women around James acted like Elly too.
- Disgust filled her heart in that instant.
- "Elly, you might not know this, but I have also applied for this position," Clara said nonchalantly.
- Elly widened her eyes. She stared at Clara in disbelief. "Are you a doctor too?"
- Clara put on a polite but fake smile. "I am."
- "Even if you were a doctor, do you think you'd be selected? The Special Forces isn't just any place," Elly said frenziedly.
- "She will."
- "What?" Elly muttered in disbelief.
- James replied coldly, "I said, she will be selected. I set up that vacancy just for her!"
