• The door shut after Alek, and she sank into the bed. Her thighs trembled, and so did her hand as she reached for a pillow. It was nothing like in the romance novels. This was better. The day passed with breakfast in the room. Since she wasn’t training, she spent most of the hours in the room. With her phone and only three numbers on the device, there weren’t many people to call, so she downloaded some social media apps to spy on her old life. Her followers’ count had increased. Most of the comments were asking to know why she wasn’t in the cast of the duchess series after dropping some hints.
• On Camilla’s home page, she found videos of her emptying a drink on Vanya’s head. The date showed the videos were a few weeks old. None of them showed Vanya’s face since the focus was on her. Some fans had some theories. They called this a secret project. Too bad they wouldn’t get an answer from her soon. Was anyone missing her? Did her twin brother really mean it when he said he would never forgive her? What about Faye? Faye bought her lie.
• Someone knocked. Camilla looked up from her phone. It was a few minutes past lunch. She didn’t enjoy eating downstairs because it was mostly her. Vanya and the rest of the Kalashnikovs household kept to themselves unless they showed up for the family breakfast. She knew nothing about the man who had made her knees weak. Was Vanya his brother? Was he a twin like her and Calvin? They had an uncanny resemblance.
