• Her husband left the room, and she climbed out of the bed. She was supposed to be mad at him for touching her, but her orgasm had reset her emotions. Why didn’t he correct or tell her the truth about his identity?
• At breakfast yesterday, she saw Vanya, his lookalike and Faye’s real boyfriend. When Doris came to her room, she had queried the housekeeper, only to realise she got it all wrong from the start. Vanya must have posted the pictures from Alek’s pre-marital shoot on his socials. It wasn’t Vanya at the boutique. It was Alek, and he had a right to be there. Knowing she got herself into this position wasn’t a fact she wanted to deal with, but it was her truth. She set herself up.

He muttered under his breath and shook his head. If he disapproved of Camilla’s outfit choice, he kept that to himself. His all-black outfit made him look like an assassin on a mission. He took her hand, and she almost pulled back. The house was asleep, or so she thought until they reached the ground floor. Maids were on the move, and so were the guards. Did they ever sleep?
