Chapter 32

• I felt someone caressing the side of my face. The touch was gentle, and it pleased me. I nuzzled my face in the hand and signed in content.
• "Mani, wake up. We have arrived," the voice said. But I didn't bother making any attempt to wake up. I heard someone sigh and felt myself getting picked up. The person carrying me was strong, and his grip didn't falter even for a second.
• I felt myself being carried for some time before I was finally set on something made of cleats. I just smuggled in the warmth and fell back asleep.
