• “You will protect my mate with your lives, do you understand?” I ordered looking at my guards who were in the throne room “while I’m inside this throne room, until Verone leaves, Kiara is not to leave the chamber”
• “Yes sire” the guards said at once, I nodded dismissing all of them before taking a deep breath trying to control myself. Kiara was not aware of Verone coming to the castle. I couldn’t see him out of the castle, it would be risking many people’s lives, however, I couldn’t risk the fact of him and Kiara being in the same room. If I knew Verone, then I knew that he would do his best to annoy me using my mate. He would sense and see my annoyance of him being here, and he would be using it to his advantage.
