Chapter 7 The Underworld Overlord of Walstino

  • "Tsk, tsk," Jaymore replied with scorn on his face, "it's just a bottle of 1982 Chinote Clairet, no? What's there to be smug about? The owner of Chinote Vineyards once personally gifted me a bottle of wine worth millions, and I wasn't even impressed."
  • His words left everyone stunned for a moment before they burst into laughter.
  • "Haha!" Declan guffawed. "Chelsea, look at your husband. He's not only a loser but also a blowhard! As if the owner of Chinote Vineyards would personally gift him wine. What a joke!"
  • Unable to contain herself any longer, Chelsea finally lashed out at Jaymore, "Enough!" She felt that Jaymore not only made her look bad but also acted like a clown, utterly ignorant of his own faults.
  • Seeing her anger, Jaymore immediately bit his tongue. In reality, he was not bragging. The owner of Chinote Vineyards treated him with utmost respect, considering he was Estren's God of War. Unfortunately, those present in the room were all living under a rock. No matter what he said, they would not believe him.
  • Bang!
  • Suddenly, the door to the private room was kicked open with a loud bang.
  • Following that, several burly men in suits strode in.
  • Their leader, a sharp-dressed man, glanced around the room; his eyes lit up when he saw Chelsea. With a faint smile, he said, "I heard the most beautiful woman in Walstino was dining here, so I came to give a toast."
  • Embarrassed by the interruption at his wife's birthday party, Declan jumped to his feet and swore, "Who are you scoundrels? How dare you interrupt our dinner? Do you know who I am? I'm the heir of the Shaw Family! Be smart and get out of here!"
  • The sharp-dressed man looked at him with a frown. "Teach him a lesson!" he ordered.
  • "Roger that!"
  • At his command, the burly men in suits rushed over without hesitation and started pummeling Declan with punches and kicks.
  • "Aaaaaah!"
  • Soon, screams of pain echoed through the room.
  • After the beating, Declan, now black and blue in the face, exploded, "How dare you beat me up! Do you know who my father is?"
  • The sharp-dressed man came up to him and snorted, his voice icy. "So what? Even your father would show respect to me."
  • Declan turned pale at his words. "Who are you?" he asked.
  • "I'm Laelim Turner," came the man's casual reply.
  • Declan's face twisted with horror. "What? You're Laelim Turner!"
  • As a matter of fact, Laelim was the underworld overlord of Walstino—a figure whom even the Shaw Family could not afford to displease.
  • At once, Declan dropped to his knees with a resounding thud. "Mr. Turner, I'm sorry! I was wrong! I didn't recognize you. Please spare me!" He was now trembling with fear, bowing and begging for mercy again and again.
  • Laelim replied with a smirk, "I can spare you, but today I'm here for Chelsea. Hand her over, and you'll be off the hook."
  • Seeing her husband being roughed up, Maddy flew into a rage. "You sc*mbag! How dare you lay a hand on my husband! I'll call the police and have you arrested!"
  • Upon hearing this, Declan had a sinking feeling in his heart. He knew full well that his wife was spoiled rotten and blissfully unaware of how dangerous Laelim truly was.
  • And sure enough, Laelim replied, "You want to call the police and have me arrested? Haha!" Then, all of a sudden, his expression turned grim. "How dare you threaten to call the police! All three of you ladies are going to stay with me today!"
  • Maddy, despite her spoiled demeanor and sharp tongue, was undeniably gorgeous, which was why Declan had courted her back then.
  • As for Kelsey, her reputation as a woman with big boobs spoke for itself.
  • On the other hand, Chelsea was the unrivaled beauty in Walstino, her stunning allure surpassing that of anyone in the city.
