Chapter 10 Walstino’s Top Family

  • "What? How dare you pick a fight with Mr. Reed!" Malinda was furious. "You despicable creature! Do you know that Mr. Reed is my friend? Can someone like you afford to mess with him?"
  • "What? He's your friend?!" Laelim opened his mouth in shock when he heard this. He could not believe that Jaymore was actually friends with Malinda. How is this possible? Jaymore is just a live-in son-in-law of the Moore Family. How could he be friends with Miss Hopkin?
  • Immediately, he fell to his knees in front of Jaymore with a thud. "Mr. Reed, I'm sorry! I had no idea you were Miss Hopkin's friend. Please forgive me!" he tearfully pleaded on his knees, begging for mercy.
  • He knew full well who Malinda was. Although he was the underworld overlord of Walstino, he was pretty much nothing to Malinda. If he displeased her, he would be doomed for sure!
  • Jaymore's brows furrowed at the sight of this. Seems like I'm not mistaken. This Malinda is indeed no ordinary person.
  • Malinda turned to Jaymore and asked, "Mr. Reed, how would you like to deal with this?"
  • Jaymore waved his hand dismissively. "Never mind. It's just a minor issue." As far as he was concerned, Laelim was simply beneath his notice.
  • Turning back to fix Laelim with a stare, he warned, "Laelim, if you ever dare to harass my wife again, I'll make sure you'll regret it."
  • "Rest assured, Mr. Reed. Even if I had ten times the courage, I wouldn't dare," Laelim quickly responded.
  • After Jaymore left with Malinda, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
  • "Mr. Turner, she's just a woman. Why are you so afraid of her?" asked one of his men, baffled.
  • In the eyes of these henchmen, Laelim was the ruler of Walstino's underworld, a powerful figure who could do whatever he wanted in the entire city. But today, Laelim was kneeling before Jaymore and begging for mercy. This was simply unbelievable!
  • Laelim replied with a snort, "You guys know nothing. Do you know who that woman is? She's the daughter of the Hopkin Family!"
  • His men gasped in shock upon hearing this. "You mean the Hopkin Family?"
  • In Walstino, there was only one Hopkin Family—Walstino's top family. Even Laelim, the underworld overlord of Walstino, would not dare to displease them!
  • Meanwhile, Jaymore was sitting inside Malinda's sleek Lamborghini.
  • Malinda darted a glance at him before she suddenly spoke up. "Mr. Reed, have you figured out who I am?"
  • Jaymore replied nonchalantly, "If I'm not mistaken, you must be the daughter of the Hopkin Family, Walstino's top family. And your grandfather Tario must be the head of the family and the current richest man in Walstino!"
  • When he first heard the name of Tario Hopkin, it had struck a familiar chord with him. Combining that with today's events—where even Laelim, the underworld overlord of Walstino, treated Malinda with the utmost respect—it was naturally obvious who Malinda was.
  • Malinda said with a nod, "You're right. I'm indeed the daughter of the Hopkin Family, Walstino's top family. And yes, my grandpa is the head of our family."
  • Soon after that, she took him to a luxurious estate. It was none other than Hopkin Residence.
  • After getting out of the car, Jaymore followed Malinda into the estate.
  • He soon met Tario, who was in his study, painting.
  • Seeing Jaymore, Tario greeted him with delight, "Mr. Reed, you're here!"
  • Jaymore nodded and replied, "Yeah, I'm here today to treat your illness."
  • "I wonder how you're planning to help me with my illness," Tario asked out of curiosity. He was deeply curious about Jaymore. How could a mere live-in son-in-law of the Moore Family possess such martial prowess and medical expertise? He wanted to see for himself if this young man could really cure him.
  • "Please lie down on the bed," Jaymore instructed.
  • Following Jaymore's instructions, Tario lay down on a bed.
  • In a swift motion, Jaymore produced thirteen acupuncture needles from his sleeve. Then, with remarkable speed, he accurately inserted these acupuncture needles into Tario's acupoints.
