• When my feet hit the landing, I scanned the room for him. There’s a handful of people scattered around the room. There is one staff member present who is rearranging a vase of flowers. When my eyes land on him across the room, I relax. I’ve never been more relieved in my life to see Shane. Devin is not the best company and I’m so ready to be off of his arm. Receiving threats, or promises all day isn’t my favorite thing to do.
