Chapter 18 The Shadows Of Elandor

  • The sun had barely risen when Ariella and her group reached the edge of the valley, where the vast stretch of Elandor lay before them. The kingdom, once bathed in a rich aura of magic, now appeared muted, its grandeur clouded by the years of corruption that had seeped into its core. The Heart had been purified, but the battle for the land was far from over.
  • Elandor was a place of ancient beauty, with tall spires of silver stone reaching for the heavens, green fields stretching far and wide, and rivers that sparkled under the sun. But there was something unnerving about the stillness in the air. The streets of the capital, where once the people had celebrated in the glory of their kingdom’s magic, now felt lifeless. The hustle and bustle of everyday life had been replaced by tension, whispers, and uncertainty.
  • As the group walked through the city gates, Ariella couldn’t shake the feeling of eyes watching them from every shadow. Every turn seemed to lead them to another silent face, filled with both awe and suspicion. The people knew something had changed, but what that change meant, they could not yet understand.
