Chapter 21 - Awake

• The next three days went the same way. Julian would help Emma whenever the nosebleeds started and she began to trash uncontrollably. He would feed her soup, porridge, and tea and help her clean up.
• He talked to her and told her everything he couldn’t otherwise tell.
• On the third day, Emma was conscious enough to understand the words and realized that he was Julian and Bakers were working with Bartels to set her up. So, he was trying to distance himself from her to keep her safe.
