Chapter 30

• "Clara Williams was a girl I would die for. I did everything for her, but she betrayed me, she cheated with my own best friend. She stole from me and my best friend and left the country. She was smart enough to hide and she was never heard of again. After she left, I went crazy, I did those things to women because of what I felt. I wanted them to feel my wrath, I wanted to kill as many as I could but I didn't know I was destroying my life."
• Aiden had not looked me straight in the eyes the entire time he'd relayed his story, in fact he'd been fixated on the floor. Now though, he looked at me and what I saw broke my heart. He looked like a child that had seen far too much and was afraid of being rejected by the last person they trusted.
• "You're probably more disgusted with me now. You should go." He whispered and looked at the floor again.
