Chapter 54 Bed Rest

• After two weeks, Victoria was discharged from JHB General hospital. Mark was beside her all the time. He was sleeping with her in the hospital bed. After she woke up from a coma, she was moved to a VIP ward. It was spacious. Even though it was comfortable, there was no place like home. For the past two weeks, Auntie Angel had been delivering food at the hospital to them. Dr Cain came into the ward and smiled at them, “Victoria, please stay in bed for two months to heal properly.” Victoria smiled at him and thanked him again for saving her life and her babies’ lives. Then they left the hospital. When they arrived home, her father, her father-in-law, and Jonathan were waiting for them. They were so happy to see her; the living room was lavishly decorated with flowers and balloons, and a Welcome Back Banner. Auntie Angel served them delicious food, they were chatting and laughing.
• Her father-in-law looked at Victoria, “My daughter, I’m glad that you are back at home. How do you want to deal with Serene and her friend?” Victoria replied, “Dad, I will leave this matter to you to decide. Serene has provoked me several times. She wanted to kill me that day. If you hadn't come, maybe I would have died. She nearly caused me to have a miscarriage, because of that I will never forgive her.” Her father-in-law nodded his head, “I’ve dealt with her father’s company. Unfortunately, both of her parents passed away. I heard that her father told the Johnson family not to tell her anything about his affairs.” Victoria was shocked that Serene caused her parents’ death.
• Mark said, “I heard that the Logan estate will be auctioned tomorrow, I want to bid for the office building.” His father-in-law replied, “it is a good investment, son, I heard that there are many people who are eyeing that office building, shout if you need any help.” Mark smiled at his father-in-law and replied, “thank you dad. Dr Cain indicated that Victoria needs two months' bed rest to heal properly. We will be heading to our bedroom to rest.” Then he carried his wife in his arms and walked to their bedroom. Jonathan told his father that he was leaving too. He would come back to see his sister-in-law the following day. Then he took his car keys and left.
