Chapter 8 Mate

• Seraphine immediately turned around because of her wolf voice, which seemed to be overflowing with joy. And she was so shocked when she saw the man staring at her while leaning against the tree.
• "A young girl who is alone in a dark place like this–do you know it's dangerous?" the man states as he looks up at Seraphine. The man is non-other than Elijah.
• "Well, depending on the girl... Maybe she can defend herself, so she dares to go to the dark place alone," Seraphine replied as she arranged to sit on the grass and carefully studied the man in front of her.
• "You seem brave; then I'll leave you, so you can continue your delayed sleep," Elijah said.
• "Wait, can I know your name?" Seraphine quickly stood up and held his hand to stop him from leaving.
• Elijah seemed electrified when he felt her hand on his arm.
• So, he quickly pulled his arm with her grip. "Why?" He asked with a dark face.
• Seeing the anger on the man's face, Seraphine was stunned and did not continue to say anything else. However, Seraphine smiled and just shook her head.
• Elijah seemed to regret seeing the change in the woman's face. His hand almost bled from the numbness to restrain himself from touching the woman who had not left his mind since yesterday. He even had to immerse himself in alcohol to sleep.
• "Although you can protect yourself, you should go home," Elijah said before walking away.
• Seraphine smiled sadly while looking at the man the Goddess had given her to be her mate. But for some unknown reason, the guy seemed angry with her.

• Elijah sighed again. "Why, with so many places to go, did I even think of going there?!' he whispered while blaming himself.
• Elijah didn't see this coming, and he never expected to meet the mate he never thought would ever come.
• Now that he and William have an agreement, he urgently needs to sever the connection with the woman his wolf is shouting at, and the Goddess has given him as a mate.
• "Alpha Elijah! You up early, where did you go? "Samantha asked.
• "I just ran all over the village. You? It looks like you woke up early, too," Elijah commented as he walked into the castle.
• "I still need to train. The truth is, I'm a little late, but it's okay because I'm waiting for you to arrive," Samantha said.
• "Why?" He asked.
• "When I come back, let's take a tour; there are a lot of beautiful places in our city," Samantha said with a smile.
• "Well, it's up to your father; if our conversation end early, then we can go," Elijah replied.
• "Of course you have time; for my daughter Samantha, you can skip our meeting," William asserted in the distance he overheard their conversation.
• "Then I'll leave, and we'll just meet later," Samantha said happily and quickly ran out of the castle.
• William happily followed his daughter's gaze as she ran cheerfully.
• "My daughter seems to like you a lot..." William states.
• Elijah smiled and didn't comment anymore. Then the two had breakfast together while discussing the strategy in case the marriage between the two packs proceeds.
• "Can I join your conversation?" Luna Elizabeth spoke as she approached the table.
• "Elizabeth, are you feeling well?" William asked as he sipped his coffee.
• "My dear, I feel good. I'm sorry, Elijah, if I didn't meet you on your arrival," Elizabeth said apologetically.
• "Health will always come first," Elijah politely said.
• "Thank you for understanding," Elizabeth said.
• "Eliza, later Elijah and Samantha will tour the city. So tell Carol to prepare a snack for their departure," William commanded.
• "Don't worry. I'll take care of Elijah and Samantha's snacks. I've already asked about Elijah's favorite food," Elizabeth replied.

• Meanwhile, Samantha was excited to go to her teacher's house; she just saw Seraphine entering the house from a distance.
• "Seraphine, wait for me!"Samantha shouted while running fast.
• Seraphine watched and waited lazily as her friend ran towards her.
• "Seraphine, why are you frowning so early? The surroundings are beautiful, and the weather is pleasant today, so we should be happy," Samantha exclaims.
• "Maybe for you, it's good morning... because your alpha is with you. While I? I did see my mate, but he didn't seem to care about me! I think he hosted me!" Seraphine is sulking while signing.
• "Oh my god! Seraphine, when did you meet your mate? Why didn't you tell me?" Samantha said while pulling her to sit on the bench.
• "I saw him yesterday, and I also saw him earlier, but I never knew his name! It's like he's mad at me, so I didn't ask... I don't dare to ask him," Seraphine says.
• "I thought a mate's bond is strong? Why is that happening?" Samantha asked in wonder.
• "I don't know either, but I like him, and when I touched him earlier, it was like electricity was flowing through me! I know he feels the same way!" Seraphine furiously retorted.
• She remembers the feeling of being able to touch her mate's arm, and she is sure about the attraction they had with each other.
• "Wow, did you touch him? I'm jealous, while I can't touch Alpha Elijah because I'm embarrassed," Samantha said sadly.
• "Hmmph, at least he's going to be your husband. Me? I don't even know his name," Seraphine replied, frowning.
• "Hmm... I was planning to introduce you to my alpha Elijah, but it looks like you're not in the mood to watch the sweet couple so I won't take you with me," Samantha said while comforting Seraphine.
• Their conversation stopped when Teacher Mayer came out and started their training immediately.
• After a couple of hours, Samantha said goodbye to Teacher Mayer and Seraphine. She asked to end the training earlier, and teacher Mayer agreed because he also wanted to focus on Seraphine's training.

• When Samantha arrived at the castle, she immediately prepared for her date with alpha Elijah. Her mother helped her choose clothes.
• "Mom, it's too revealing!" Samantha complained while looking at the tube dress she was wearing.
• "Honey, all men want their date sexy and beautiful; trust me on this one, huh?" Luna Elizabeth said, smiling.
• Samantha doesn't have a choice but to obey her mother. When Elizabeth finished with her make-up, Samantha was speechless; half of her breast was visible, while her long legs were exposed.
• "Remember, when you see an opportunity, grab it right away," Elizabeth instructed.
