Chapter 4 Wolfless But Powerful
- Seraphine's shout interrupted the silence of the whole mountain causing the birds to fly away. With so much pain, she rolled on the lawn as her hands released light energy. In great pain and fear, she punched her hands to the ground. Her first blow caused a large crash in the environment.
- Seraphine was startled as she felt relief when her fist hit the ground. Because of this, she unleashed another blast. She is terrified not to know what to do and how to get rid of her pain. After a prolonged pain, Seraphine felt the gradual disappearance of the bizarre pain; then, she felt extreme exhaustion. And right there, she let my body fall. The next thing happens, Seraphine becomes dizzy and then becomes unconscious.
- .............
- "Seraphine, wake up!"
- Teacher Mayer's worried voice brought her back to consciousness.
- "What happened here?" Then Seraphine heard Grandma's voice that seemed frightened.
- Seraphine opened her eyes, and as she expected, everyone was there and stared at her with concern.
- "Why? What's wrong?" Seraphine asked in astonishment as she sat down. Her memory of what happened last night seemed like a picture coming back to her mind.
- "Seraphine, did you do this?" Mara asked in disbelief.
- Seraphine followed the direction she was looking, shocked to see the significant destruction on the ground. Then she looked at her hands, which were full of mud. "Teacher Mayer, last night, my hands burst with energy!" she explained as she stared at her hands.
- "It's better if we go home and talk about what happened to you in the house," Teacher Mayer asserted, interrupting the rest of what she had to say; then he helped Seraphine.
- Grandma and aunt Mara followed us, still unable to take their eyes off the massive spot on the ground.
- When we got home, Mara gave Sersphine hot milk while grandma wrapped her with a scarf. Then we sit in the living room.
- "Can you explain what happened last night?" teacher Mayer asked.
- Seraphine took a deep breath and began to recount what had happened when the severe pain began until she lost consciousness.
- .........
- "Maybe that's why you don't shift into being a wolf," Teacher Mayer asserted.
- "Seraphine, do you know how it triggered?" Aunt Mara asked.
- Seraphine shook her head, "I don't know, the only thing I felt was the intense pain, and I don't want to feel it again!" she asserted with tears on her face.
- "Child, we don't know if that will happen again, but you still need to prepare yourself. Don't worry, I'll help you control it," Teacher Mayer retorted with assurance.
- Seraphine forced herself to nod. Because even if she objects, nothing will happen, and she will be the one to suffer.
- ..............
- The next day Sersphinr started her training. Her difficult task added. If before she only climbed the top of the mountain once, now Seraphine has to climb it twice.
- If before her training in the morning, now it's all day. Her only rest is eating and bathing. Even at night, Seraphine sits on a rock to concentrate, gather her energy, and release it through blows. Because every night comes, she feels energy overflowing into her hands, so she needs to remove it.
- ...............
- Year passed,
- "Teacher Mayer, can I rest?" Seraphine beg. It was still dark when they woke up and started her routine.
- "Why, are you tired already? You seem to be getting lazy as the days go by," Teacher Mayer commented as he waved the stick in the air.
- "Teacher, I'm not lazy! I'm just wondering. Why do I need to do all of this?"
- "If you're already complaining, you can stop. And maybe I won't even continue my plan to go down the hill with you," Teacher Mayer stood up and walked into the house.
- Seraphine immediately stopped, "Really? Will you take me down the mountain? But why?" she asked eagerly.
- "I'm planning to leave the mountain for good. But because you're lazy, I don't think I'll continue with that plan." Teacher Mayer smirked as he pulled his hand.
- "Ooh, come on! When did I get lazy? tell me, what else do I need to do?" Seraphine asked with a broad smile.
- "Do you remember the large piece of stone at the top of the mountain?" he asked.
- "Of course, you always sit there whenever you watch me in practice," Seraphine replied with a smile.
- "Hmm, I want you to smash it in one punch," teacher Mayer retorted as he seriously looked at her.
- A smile flashed on Seraphine's lips, "Is that all? After I do that, we're leaving?" she asked excitedly.
- "Well, after we pack, only then can we leave," teacher Mayer answered and tubbed his chin.
- "Then, let's go to the top of the mountain so I can break your precious piece of rock," Seraphine joked with him and started walking towards the mountain.
- A few minutes passed they reached the top of the mountain. Seraphine immediately confronted the giant wad of rock, "Are you sure you want to destroy this rock? It's been your spot since the day I started my training," Seraphine asked while looking at her teacher.
- "I am sure, and it is also proof that you have gone beyond everything I have taught you," he states.
- Seraphine looks at him and smiles. Then turns again to the big rock in front of her. "I'm sorry, but I need to destroy you," she patted the rock and prepared her right hand to punch.
- Seraphine's right hand started to glow, emitting enormous power, and then she released a powerful blast. In an instant, the giant rock that looks like a hill becomes dust.
- Then Seraphine immediately turned to Teacher Mayer, "Can I fix my things now?" she asked excitedly. Seeing him nod, she instantly ran down the mountain.
- "I hope my decision to show you the world was right. Lord, may you guide Seraphine on her new journey," Teacher Mayer whispered as he looked up at the sky.
