• Elijah stood still and watched as Seraphine took off her makeup. Elijah almost called off their plan when she was talking to the other men and just took her home to the castle. He had never felt jealousy like this before, and he didn't want to feel it again. Because of this, the killers had to be found. So they could go to Blue Moon, where he could ask Seraphine for her hand in marriage.
• "Love, where do you want our wedding to take place?" Elijah felt compelled to ask.
• Seraphine laughed because she thought Elijah was joking when he said, "Anywhere, as long as you're my groom." She stood in front of the mirror and lay down next to him. Nearly morning had come, so they had to sleep at least a little so they could keep going with their plan.
