• ADELINE’S POV
• After two weeks of Adrian complaining and complaining about Xavier, after two of not seeing Dante or being in contact with him, after two weeks of not speaking to Liam because I now have five patients to deal with simultaneously, Adrian finally got over Xavier and got a new guard.
• He promoted one of his other guards to a higher position but it’s pretty clear no one can take Xavier’s place. Adrian hasn’t stopped looking for Xavier’s body though and it ha made him so paranoid that he has had guards following me up and down, left, right and center and that’s exactly why I haven’t been able to spend time with Dante.
