Chapter 34
- As I slowly awakened from what seemed like an eternity of darkness, my senses gradually returned, each one igniting with a newfound awareness. With a gentle touch, I traced the contours of my neck, feeling a sensation both foreign and familiar. It was as though my body had been through a tumultuous journey, leaving behind remnants of its trials and tribulations.
- My fingers lingered on the tender skin, tracing the outline of a faint scar that marred its surface. How did it come to be there? What unseen battles had I fought in the depths of my unconsciousness? Questions swirled in my mind like whispers carried on the wind, elusive and enigmatic.
- With a soft exhale, I attempted to move, only to be met with a sharp crack emanating from my neck. The sound reverberated through the stillness of the room, a stark reminder of the fragility of my mortal vessel. Yet, despite the discomfort, there was a sense of relief in the movement, as though I had broken free from the invisible chains that bound me.
