Chapter 3

  • *EARLIER THAT DAY *
  • The morning sun streamed through the glass window and kissed my face. Its warmth was welcoming, giving the room a somewhat calm, warm, and peaceful ambiance. I blinked a few times to adjust to the almost blinding brightness that surrounded me. A sense of comfort enveloped me.
  • The room expanded before my eyes; the spaciousness of the room was immediately apparent with its high ceilings and slightly expansive floor area, and a sense of grandeur enveloped me. I lay unmoving, looking out of the glass ceiling onto the blue sky. There was not a cloud to be seen up there, and I could only smile at seeing such a beautiful sight.
  • The walls were painted in a soothing shade of pale blue, creating a canvas for the room's lavish design elements to shine. In the center of the room stood a majestic four-poster bed, commanding attention with its towering presence. The bed frame was crafted from rich mahogany, exuding an air of elegance.
  • I moved to leave the bed only to discover that there was an arm wrapped around my waist, stopping me from doing so. I adjusted my sleeping position so I could look at his handsome sleeping face. I looked at him closely, memorizing every curve, every angle, and every contour of his face. His beauty was mesmerizing.
  • I pushed back the straying strands of his slightly long hair, and at that moment, I was reminded of what had transpired last night between us when I announced that I was three weeks pregnant. I had never seen him so overwhelmed and happy ever since we knew each other that we made passionate, gentle love all through the night.
  • I snapped out of my trance, and my brown eyes were met by his ocean-blue eyes, which could drown me at any point in time. The next thing he did was kiss my forehead.
  • "Good morning, baby," he greeted, looking into my eyes with nothing but adoration.
  • "Good morning, Gabriel," I replied, and then he smiled mischievously.
  • "How are you feeling?" He asked as he leaned closer to me; his breath was fanning my bare neck, which made me shiver in a not-so-good way as my face turned a darker shade of red.
  • "I''m fine," I stammered with a smile on my face before leaning onto him and placing a kiss on his lips. He nodded his head and then stood up from the lush bed without even bothering to cover up his nakedness. He walked towards his wardrobe, where his clothes were kept, and took a bathrobe, which he used to cover his naked body.
  • As soon as he was done, he walked back towards my side of the bed, carried me off the bed gently, and then walked into the bathroom. As we stepped into the bathroom, a wave of serenity washed over me. The room was a symphony of soothing colors, and elegant designs were meticulously crafted. Light filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a soft glow upon the room and illuminating its simplicity and charm. The walls were painted a pristine shade of pale blue, creating an aura of freshness and purity.
  • A gleaming porcelain sink adorned with a polished chrome faucet stood as the centerpiece of the room, its smooth surface reflecting the light. Above it, a large mirror spanned the width of the vanity. He dropped me down gently, my bare feet on the floor that was adorned with cool ceramic tiles that had an intricate pattern of neutral tones, and then he started to fill the large bathtub with water.
  • A sleek toilet was tucked away in a corner, exuding simplicity and functionality; its white ceramic exterior blends seamlessly with the room color scheme; and a roll of pristine white toilet paper stood ready as a symbol of comfort and convenience. As soon as the bath was filled halfway to the top, he walked back towards me and undressed me, leaving me completely bare before him.
  • "Hey baby, you don't need to be shy when you are with me," he said as he placed two of his fingers under my jaw and then raised my head for me to look at him.
  • "Hmh, if you say so," I whispered, looking everywhere except his seductive blue eyes. I never realized he had long lashes until now. Looking at him made my heart warm inside. He was born with a handsome face that all women would fall for, and I giggled, thinking I was one of those women who fell for his handsome face.
  • "What are you thinking in that naughty mind of yours?" He asked, not even bothering to hide his curiosity, his eyes boring into me.
  • "I would gladly do anything for me to see this red face of yours every morning," he said, laughing at my already flushed face.
  • "Not fair." I pouted my lips at him and glared at him.
  • "Okay, I'm sorry," he apologized, raising his hand in surrender.
  • "Apology not accepted," I said and walked past him, but he dragged me back with a slight that I would almost lose my balance if not for his hands that were supporting me.
  • I turned my head and narrowed my eyes at him. "What do you think you are doing?" I asked, my face written in confusion and a bit of anger.
  • "And where do you think that you are going, Princess?" He asked.
  • "To take my bath, was the water in the bathtub not prepared for me?" I asked again, but he kept quiet for a few seconds before answering.
  • "Yes, love," he answered, carrying me off my feet.
  • "Ahhh," I gasped as he gently and fully placed me into the warm water. A floral scent, but one that is light and fresh without being too pungent or overwhelming, filled my nostrils, and the scent of lavender lingered in the air, infusing the room with a calming aroma.
  • "Do you like it?" He asked as he sat on the small white ceramic stool that was placed close to the bathtub.
  • "I love it," I answered, and I watched him grab a soap sponge.
  • "Why would you love it? What about me?" He pouted, looking so adorable.
  • "Don't tell me that you are jealous of a sponge!?" I asked in awe.
  • "Whatever," he answered with a stern face, dropped the soap sponge, stood up, walked towards the sink, and washed his soapy hands.
  • "What are you doing?" I asked, watching him wash his hands.
  • "Nothing," he answered as he dried his hands with the nearest towel.
  • "Where are you going?" I asked.
  • "Where does it seem like I'm going?" He countered.
  • "I thought you were going to bathe me," I said.
  • "I changed my mind; do it yourself and meet me downstairs," he said as he proceeded to walk out of the bathroom.
  • "Please, love, I'm so sorry, love," I begged, giving him the cutest puppy eyes.
  • "Nah. That's not going to work on me this time," he said, slammed the door hard.
  • "Gabriel, please... I already told you that I'm sorry," I begged, but he never answered.
  • "I love you, Gabriel," I shouted out, and he opened the door in the space of five seconds.
  • "What did you say?" He asked with only his head popping out of the door.
  • "I said, I love you so much, Gabriel," he said, and, surprisingly, he walked inside and sat back on the stool, giving me a deep, soft kiss on the lips.
  • "Let's get you all cleaned up, or you are going to be late," he said as he grabbed the soap sponge and began scrubbing every part of my body thoroughly but gently. I had to refrain from laughing in order not to upset him, looking at how serious he was about his job.
  • As soon as he was done, he walked over to a neatly folded stack of plush white towels resting on a nearby shelf, ready to embrace damp skin with their softness, and grabbed one of them. He walked back towards me, then bent down and carried me out of the bathtub slowly and gently. He used the towel to dry my wet body, then he carried me out of the bathroom into our bedroom.
  • The bathroom, though small in size, holds within it a world of serenity and solace, washing away the cares of the day and leaving behind a sense of tranquility. He laid me on the floor after my body had already dried up.
  • "You are looking so hot, and I am finding it hard to control myself," he whispered hotly to my hearing, tucking my hair to the back of my ear, and I shivered in response like a little girl without any self-control.
  • "Then take me now," I said, but I covered my mouth as I realized what I had just said.
  • "Argh! Wait for me and don't do anything," he said, looking so frustrated that he ran into the bathroom and slammed the door.
