Chapter 83 ♥ 3 ♥ (Part Two)

  • The wind on my face blew as I stood on the street outside my psychologist's office. I looked at the clock on my phone, at 2:32 pm. The meetings were becoming more sporadic and shorter, I thought about my commitments for the day: I had finished the contracts for the new Stars this morning at home and asked Eder to print them out and deliver them to the secretary, Milangel was in karate class and Alana was with her little friend Liss at the mall, the girl's mother communicated with me frequently and I knew they would have a movie marathon celebrating the end of primary school, first grade couldn't have been easy and my girl deserved a break. The twins were at my mother's house, by this time they would be starting their nap and no one dared to interrupt that moment unless it was something of extreme importance.
  • I crossed the street and saw a beautiful café that I always wanted to enter but the fast pace of my life didn't allow me. Inside, the smell of freshly ground coffee beans and the soft conversations of the people engulfed me. I found a small empty wooden table quickly. A very pretty waitress no more than fifteen years old attended to me with a smile and I ordered a double mocha with a slice of chocolate cake covered in chips. She left and I called the man of my dreams and my wet nights, that demon with yellow eyes that I love so much.
  • "Did you finally murder Dr. Weber and do I have to come to help you with the body?" That was the mature greeting my 37-year-old husband gave me over the phone, I rolled my eyes, I loved his damn maturity.
