Chapter 58 War (Part One)

• The Sunday hotel welcomed us after leaving the hospital. I can’t say or explain how I feel. I think I need some kind of therapy but it will have to wait until we deal with the crap surrounding us.
• Jeffrey contacted me, and I could barely bring myself to speak to him on the phone. I explained something about a sick relative and that I had to travel to my hometown. I hung up as he was cursing and threatening me. What more could he take from me?
• Eder was making an effort, he really was. He took care of me properly in my weakest moments, wiping away my tears and comforting me when nightmares crept into my mind. It had been two weeks and the wound was healing well, the stitches had been removed and it would only be a matter of time before it disappeared slowly from my skin, but it wasn't something that kept me up at night.
