• After Rion and I announced the news of my pregnancy to the rest of the family, the atmosphere in the palace transformed into one of joyous anticipation.
• Luna Daryna was overjoyed. She stood up from her seat almost immediately despite her age, her face bright, as she clasped her hands over her heart. “Oh, Jaselyn! This is such wonderful news!” Her voice wavered with emotion, and she reached out to pull me into a warm embrace. She looked at Rion with tears in her eyes and said, “This baby is going to be such a blessing for our family. I never thought I'd live long enough to see another grandchild, especially one from my beloved son but it seems wishes do come true.”
