Chapter 32 A New Angle

• The second my eyes connect with Blake’s, I feel my stomach churn. Some little part of me hoped that he wouldn’t have the balls to show his face to training after this morning but that dream was clearly short lived. I force myself to rip my gaze off the two lovebirds and focus on whatever Alpha Tate was going on about. I know I should have been more attentive but all I could feel was my own anxiety ripping through me, making it increasingly more difficult to breathe.
• I can hear Evelyn’s giggles echo through the field as she leans into Alpha Blake and mutters something to him. I catch a glimpse of Ashley on the other side of the circle and I notice how her hands are balled up in fists as she stares at the two of them. There’s no question that she could break down into tears at any given moment. “Is there a problem?”, Alpha Jaxon raises his brow and stalks over to her, crossing his arms once he’s standing in front of her. The shifters around her all tense as he narrows his gaze onto her. There’s no doubt that he’s intimidating. Ashley’s face goes a crimson red and she shakes her head and continues to force her gaze downwards. I can’t help but feel for the girl, Blake is dangling his new toy on his arm right in front of her and then she proceeds to get called out in front of the entire pack for being distracted. A part of me wants to console her while the other part is itching to go kick him right in between his legs.
