Chapter 95 Recipient of Gift

  • As Meredith stepped back into the embrace of Regalia, the fading light of dusk painted the sky in hues of deep indigo. The glow from within her home beckoned, casting a warm invitation against the encroaching darkness. With a turn of the key, she pushed open the door, greeted by the soft glow of the living room light. Tiramisu, the darling Teacup Pig, greeted her with exuberance, his tiny snout nuzzling against her feet in a display of affection.
  • "Tiramisu, has Zenon been home all day?" Meredith's voice, gentle yet tinged with concern, carried through the room as she scooped up the pig in her arms. She exchanged her outdoor shoes for the comfort of home and stepped further into the sanctuary of her dwelling.
  • A discontented hum seemed to emanate from the little creature, an almost palpable expression of displeasure if only it could vocalize in human tongue. Zenon's care, or lack thereof, did not meet Tiramisu's standards. Not only had he abandoned the cozy confines of their home, but he also dared to bring strangers into their midst, confining Tiramisu to the confines of his pigsty, robbing the little pig of its cherished freedom to move about in the spacious living room.
